Bamff Ecotourism, hotel in Bridge of Cally

Located on a private estate near Alyth, Blairgowie, Bamff Ecotourism includes 5 different accommodation options on the Bamff Estate. Free WiFi access is available and free parking is possible on site....

The Gate Lodge cottage was lovely and clean with a large enclosed garden for dogs. It took us a few attempts to get the wood burner going, but once we got it, it was lovely and cosy. The welcome pack did say we could ask for help if needed, but we managed it and there were plenty of logs outside the front door for us. We met the owner who was very helpful and friendly. The whole estate was lovely, well-kept and great for nature walks. The welcome pack gives you plenty of information about the area and has a trail map and notes how long each trail takes to walk, which was really helpful. There is a small honesty shop at the main house selling eggs, chocolate, snacks and kindling and there is a large Tesco in Blairgowrie and other shops in nearby Alyth for all your main groceries. We would recommend visiting the antique centres in the area such as the Scottish Antique and Arts Centre which is huge and the Rait Antiques Centre. We also spent a day in Dundee and found a dog friendly restaurant for lunch. I stayed for a week with my hubby, 13 year old son and two pups and everyone had a lovely time here. Highly recommended.

Room was cleaned daily and had a nice view of the river.

Room was cleaned daily and had a nice view of the river. There was a lounge for the kids to watch tv. Ski rental located straight across the road and ski slopes were 25 mins away. Restaurant had lovely food but very expensive. Bar snack menu was reasonably price but was limited. Great selection of hot and cold drinks. Staff were friendly and waited for our arrival when our ferry was delayed outside of check-in time. Kids liked that their was WiFi in room and downstairs.

The hotel is very relaxing and peaceful. Walking in the area is lovely. Good choice of drinks in the bar and most staff were very chatty. The restaurant is quiet with lovely log fire. I would recommend this hotel for a peaceful night away. The hotel has free parking across the road .

Rooms are cozy. Food is excellent. Wine list had a decent half a dozen of each colour plus 1 roze and 2 fizzy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Note you pay your extras nightly as there is no-one in til 11.30. So if you are using cash come prepared.
