Beudy Bach, hotel in Carmel

Beudy Bach is located in the pretty countryside between Upper Tumble and Cross Hands, 3 miles from the M4. This charming barn conversion is set in 14 acres of grounds with a small lake.

The lovely Helen gave me such a warm welcome on arrival, even made me a coffee after a long and busy day. From the stunning surroundings to the beautiful interior everything was spot on. I had the double room which was spacious and well decorated. Lots of thought has gone into guest needs. The room was very clean, warm and comfortable as was the bed, almost a home from home feel to the place. Even the towels smelled nice and fresh, unlike most hotel linen. I travel through Wales every month and stay in many different hotels and b&b's, for me this was by far the best one to date and would not hesitate to stop here again. I'd highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in or near the area.

Used Carmel as a central point for visiting various parts of Wales. We visited the National Botanical Gardens of Wales. Took a steam train ride from Aberystwyth to Devils Bridge and went Zip lining in Aberdare. We ate out in local restaurants and pubs each evening after a day of activity. which was a good way to relax.

    The surroundings here are breathtaking.

The surroundings here are breathtaking. If you find yourself a room with a view of the hills and valleys please don't shut your curtains! The view in the morning is amazing. Carmel is a brilliant place for couples to get away and enjoy some quality time without the rush of normal life getting on the way. It is so peaceful and tranquil that you'll be able to fully relax and enjoy each others company. It's also good for a family get away if you enjoy exploring! There's loads of streams and rivers to see and plenty of places to take kids for an adventure or a picnic. It is probably better to have your own transport as some places are quite far apart and you can end up staying quite a while away from any shops etc. There are plenty of shops and restaurants to visit in the village centre which is also beautiful and surprisingly busy on the weekends. We really enjoyed the fish and chips from the local chippy.
