Chatton Park House Exceptional 9.5 We. Loved our stay here. Michelle and Paul were very charming hosts and nothing was too much trouble everything was first class. We would recommend a stay here in the lovely Northumbrian countryside.
The Old Manse Exceptional 9.8 Everything. Ian and Mary are the perfect hosts who attend to your every need. We had the 4 poster room which was extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and had lots of little extras you don't usually find in a B&B. The breakfasts are amazing. We will most definitely return.
The Percy Arms Superb 9.4
The Manor House Exceptional 9.5 We stayed at the Manor House for 4 nights in June 2014. It is in a very quiet and peaceful location which we loved. Being west of the A1, you have to drive further to the coast but there are more local facilities (good pub food) and beautiful stunning countryside on this side of the A1 with virtually empty roads. The house is a recently (tastefully) refurbished Victorian building with three very large bedrooms and a spacious downstairs area with a lounge and breakfast/dining room. We were very warmly welcomed by Ros and David (who are locals and know the area well) who were very helpful and the house had a lovely relaxed feel and is down a "dead-end" lane opposite a side entrance to Chillingham Castle and the Wild Cattle Park, . Our room was very spacious and comfortable and had a very large bathroom and everything was spotlessly clean and well cared for each day when we went out.. The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was excellent (fruit juice, cereal/yoghurt, tea/coffee, toast and a range of cooked items and included home made tomato ketchup and home made marmalades and the lemon curd was by far the best we had ever tasted. Predictably, a mobile phone signal is non-existent as the house is in a valley, but WiFi is available with the strongest signal currently being in the downstairs lounge. Mobile hone signal available at the top of the road if you are desperate. It's not the cheapest B&B, but you get what you pay for and in our opinion this was excellent value for money for someone who doesn't want a cheap and cheerful option.Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return . again. We would definitely recommend this B&B for anyone needing some rest and relaxation in a beautiful area of the country.
