The owners /management were very friendly and helpful.
We were able to get a go breakfast even though we missed the time during the breakfast window that the kitchen stayed open. The smallness of the hotel made for a unique stay.

Overlooked by its majestic castle, Harlech should be a wonderful place but underinvestment (and probably the results of the pandemic) have left it with many shuttered shops and closed businesses. A great shame, as it's a shadow of the town it used to be.

Best beach in the world.
Best beach in the world. We spent 3 days on the beach in Harlech and could have spent much longer. Castle is always spectacular.
Travelled around on public transport only, went on Ffestiniog railway.
Great couple of shops in Upper Harlech selling all homewares, and fresh food. Groser Harlech great for breakfast pastries and organic produce.
Lovely walk around to find the 5 Merion chairs.
Woodland walk down from chair 3 to lower road through woodland, a cave and a waterfall in someone's garden.

As the weather wasn’t good.
As the weather wasn’t good. Heavy rain we didn’t get onto the beach as intended or indeed explore the local area as planned. Harlech has a lot to offer as we have been there previously and we intend to visit again. Country side and views are amazing and the Castle restaurant in Harlech does amazing food.

Harlech has a great Castle and an amazing beach (approx 5km long and separated into dog / no dog zones).
There is a lot of self catering accommodation but you really need to travel to the next town (20mins) for a bigger shop. Porthmadog has everything.
If you want to eat out in Harlech, there's very limited choice (we only found 2 good places, both hotels)
Besides the beach and castle, there is golf and good walks. If you after nightlife, probably not for you.
Superb hotel in the centre of Harlech lounge area full of memorabilia from the hosts flying career hosts were super friendly and could not do enough to make our stay memorable
Super king bed was so comfy and the ensuite was super modern Breakfast was delicious Parking can be difficult however if you have a large car but there is a public car very nearby We had a great overnight stay and walked the steepest street in the world
Great location. Short walk to town center. Brilliant views of the sea from the bedroom window.
The owner was very welcoming even offering to make a pot of tea on our arrival.
The owner had added lots of thoughtful things for the house/room (eg. A small fridge in the room supplied with fresh milk!)
The whole house was scrupulously clean.
The owner gave us lots of local information about the surrounding area.
Location was perfect as described just across fro the sand dunes and a long 5km beach to walk the dog. The hotel is not only dog friendly they actually like dogs and our dog was able to come to the bar with us and join us for dinner.
The food was excellent we both had the welsh fillet. As stated there is an extensive list of Gins to choose from and Rum and Whiskey........... We really enjoyed our stay
Liam and rachel did a fantastic job making us feel welcome and at home! We loved the view of Harlech castle, the history and vintage feel of the hotel. Our room had space and all items needed. The hotel is not luxurious but has plenty of charm and hard working kind people! We ate a wonderful dinner and breakfast in the hotel and it was delicious and plentiful! We truly enjoyed our visit and the hotel.
On arrival, Angela game us a warm and informative welcome including a pot of tea. The room was clean and spacious with a breath taking view of Harlech Beach and the mountains. Everything about our stay at this B&B from the bed to the shower to the delicious breakfast was first class.
Highly recommended. We definitely intend to return. Thanks Angela.
castle Cottage Inn is perfectly located in Harlech - just across from the Castle. Rooms are beautiful and charming. The owners are wonderfully gracious — so friendly. They have relatively recently taken ow worship of the property and eager to continue to make it an outstanding place to stay. Fabulous dinner and breakfast.
Location was perfect for where we wanted to go each day. Ground floor meant no lugging cases upstairs! Very tasteful & attractive interior. Best equipped kitchen of any property we have used. Good space for the two of us. Lovely gifts [edible] and milk on our arrival! Useful booklet of info about local pub etc.
We had a lovely welcome when we arrived from Adam and Tracy, who are very friendly and hospitable .
The room and ensuite were very clean and had everything we needed.
The location is fantastic and the access to Harlech beach (which is exceptional) and to the Castle is great.
The breakfast was excellent.

Friendly, helpful owners. Family run and very dog friendly. Food good value but also delicious! Great little bar with good atmosphere. Both tourists and locals. Fun quiz night (came last!!). Central for town and beach, both walking distance. Convenient little supermarket 1 min away.
Deborah and her stuff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The guest house is ideally situated for exploring North Wales, a beautiful area with every kind of landscape.
The property for us was in an ideal location, a 20 minute walk from the centre of Harlech, and just 10 mins to the wonderful beach. The cottage is just lovely and if I could rate it higher that the highest I would!
