Lovely village with a couple of pubs, restaurants and takeaways. Would recommend a trip to the National Justice Museum and Caves in Nottingham and East Midlands Airport Museum where you can take the kids to watch the planes take off and land. A walk along the River Soar is also well worth it and you can hire boats from Barrow Boating as well.

Apart from the overall experience at the Kegworth which was excellent , we did venture out into the village and all the locals were so friendly in the local public houses and great food and service in the local Indian restaurant.

The reception is part of the bar, so it was unfortunate that we arrived seconds behind a 72 seater coach full of pensioners from Cheshire who were all gagging for a drink. I waited for 15 minutes to be checked in by someone who appeared to believe that I was a bit of an inconvenience when they were rather busy ACTUALLY. In the room, the kettle didn’t work unless you held the switch down, the fan didn’t work at all (it was a warm night), neither of the bedside lamps worked and the food was overpriced, so we went elsewhere for dinner because we have a policy that if staff can’t be bothered to give us good service, we can’t be bothered to spend more money in the hotel.
It was only made acceptable because we were leaving at 4.00 am and we didn’t have to join an interminable queue for dinner or breakfast with the aforementioned coach party. I saw some pretty critical reviews, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. On this occasion, it was misplaced

Kegworth is a dormitory town, with little character or facilities. It is very close to East Midlands airport but that's about it.
The Coop is usually quite well stocked and Oaklands is a nice bakery/deli/butchers.
I only stay in Kegworth as I am attending an event there, otherwise I would avoid it at all costs
Sweet spot for 2. Comfortable room and coffee and milk was a nice touch. Walkway to the apartment was very pretty so you feel you're in a bit of a secret garden. Plenty of towels left and good toiletries. Walkway to the apartment is very pretty. Location was excellent, full use of the spa at the hotel within 2 min walk was excellent and a 20% discount for Marco's Italian restaurant was well worth it. Great package all round.
I really enjoyed staying at this property, it was very spacious and had everything I needed. I loved the free access to the Reed spa which was only a few mins walk. The property felt very homely and had strong Wi-Fi connection all around the house. I would definitely stay here again, another plus was that it was only a 5-10min drive from the M1 which is very ideal. It is also a 5 min walk to the local shop (Co-op).
The property was decorated to a high standard. It was in a good location and you were able to walk to local shops and restaurants. All towels and linen were provided with extra little touches. The complimentary use of Reeds Health Club was great with a gym, pool and spa. We would definitely recommend this property and will certainly be visiting again .
The room was very spacious and the staff were very helpful. It was very close to the airport which was perfect for us. Even though we didn't get a chance to visit the town properly it look lively with shops and restaurants open late. The room was e suite and to could access Netflix etc via the TV. There were also coffee making facilities.
Proprietor (home stay) allowed me to stay despite being unavailable for bookings and despite Booking.com failing to let her know I was due to stay.
Fortunately I called the previous day to request breakfast or I would have been stuck in Kegworth at 9.15pm with nowhere to stay.
Very comfortable, high spec apartment. Very much more of a cottage than I was expecting, which was a good thing.
Very good location for the Airport, or the local amenities in Kegworth.
The apartment was furnished to a very high standard.
Friendly hosts who were accommodating and helpful. The room was spacious and lovely, comfortable bed. Toiletries all provided, clean and very well presented. Plenty of choice for breakfast.
A beautiful spacious apartment spotlessly clean and decorated with thoughtfulness in a quiet location.
Lovely, friendly and helpful hosts.
Will rebook when next in this location.
