It's was immaculate and had special touches like the slippers, robes and chocolates on the bed. The pod was so warm and cozy and very quiet. The view was breathtaking, amazing absolutely loved it and didn't want to come home. The cherry on the cake was the hot tub. It's amazing an made the break away out of this world, looking out at the sea an up into the stars...heaven thank you X X

Central location, back garden has space for parking and tables to sit out in summer. I went in November when the weather was not great and it was an excellent place to chill out. Warm, milk in the fridge and streaming Netflix.
It was quiet at night and close to a good chip shop. I ended staying longer than planned. Owner was very helpful and replied quickly to messages.

Great place to stay, host was very helpful. Very clean and lovely large rooms.
Beautiful long sandy beach. An interesting wee town with a pretty wee harbor. Local pub food was tasty including locally poached salmon. Also enjoyed Wick Heritage Museum which is a treasure trove - left me with lots of respect for the sailors and gutters, Wick Harbor walk, Telford structures, St John's Pool bird hide and Forsinard Flows.

There's not much in Keiss.
There's not much in Keiss. But for a trip up that way it's perfect being roughly between Wick and John O'Groats. The wee hotels just off the high street did fantastic food at a very good price. Staff were very accomodating for me and my son's.
The harbour, castle and beach made for a nice wee walk.

Very quite yet lively fishing village on east coast of northern Highlands. Took a walk to harbour.walk along shore. Peaceful. Visit a local pub in evening. Have a dinner there. People are sweetest you'll ever meet.

Just a convenience place to stop heading to Dornoch.
Just a convenience place to stop heading to Dornoch. Easy access to Wick for evening meal, I recommend the No1 Bistro. There is a lovely secluded beach just north of Keiss and another much larger beach at Keiss itself.

we liked the B&B best, didn't like the Village Inn (Sinclair Bay hotel) in Keiss, went there for an evening meal. 4 tables only in restaurant 3 reserved and one taken so we had to eat in the bar. Full of rowdy swearing locals. Food itself was terrible. Gammon steak, pineapple, chips and sweetcorn we had. Gammon was extremely salty, chewy and running in some sort of liquid. Chips were horrible, overcooked and hard, pineapple was cheap quality tin. Sweetcorn was ok !! would never go back and would never recommend eating there.

Keiss has a nice little harbour, is really quiet and has a ruined castle slightly further up the coast and Sinclair Bay Hotel has possibly the best food in the Wick-John O'Groats area.
A nice place to stop and break your journey.
This property was listed on Booking.com for one room on May 26th. I booked it with seemingly success. The next day or so I get a call from the host that There was never an opening that night, She had a death in the Family, & that we weren’t going to be charged. I made another arrangement for Flotnair House just down the rd. in Keiss Scotland. The morning of the 27th I get an auto text that we were going to be charged for A Castle View for one Night of the 26th. I promptly called the Host back and She remedied the situation
The location is close to a beautiful beach, only a short walk away. The house was all on the flat and only a short drive from a large tesco store. A hotel across the road if you want to go out for food or a drink. There is a nice playpark just up the road, too. The fact that the hosts had a cot and highchair available. The apartment was very nice and felt like a home from home. It had a washing machine/dryer and microwave as well as pots. Would stay here again if available as a lovely weekend away.
This apartment was the best we’ve strayed during our travels across Scotland. Its tastefully designed with ensuite bathrooms in all bedrooms and modern fittings and appliances. Keiss is a very picturesque coastal village in close proximity to Wick. We spent many hours at viewing points north of Keiss near Auckengill looking for the northern lights but unfortunately geomagnetic activity was low during our stay. We had a very comfortable and restful holiday in Keiss.
The B&B was well signposted, easy to find, with breathtaking views out over Sinclair Bay and Keiss castles. Both hosts were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and were most attentive. The breakfast was high quality and kept us going for most of the day! We liked having a sofa in our room, where we could sit and relax, and there was plenty of storage space for our things. The location is excellent for exploring the surrounding area.
Very well presented clean and comfortable. The room was large for two with a view of Keiss beach. We were well catered for. A great touch was the very friendly host and the present of a little rubber duck to take on our trips. Very few places have a large makeup mirror with lights. A 15 minute drive from John O Groats. The owner's instructions on access and WiFi, breakfast, etc., were complete on the app.
Paul and Katie were extremely hospitable hosts. The day started with scrumptious breakfast they prepared. The stay was absolutely amazing. The room was as good as, if not better than a full-fledged hotel, just with a bit of added homey feel to it; we also got to witness the Aurora in full force due to the location.
Highly recommended stay, whether on the NC500 or just an ad-hoc stop-over.
Christine and Maree were warm and welcoming hosts. Their home had a wonderful view out to sea with Old Keiss Castle in the foreground and in the distance Castle Sinclair Girnigoe.
Our room was spacious and comfortable with all the amenities needed for an overnight stay.
Breakfast was tasty and delicious with a good choice of food. We would recommend Castle view to all NC500 travellers.
The host was very polite and welcoming.....friendly too.
Great value for money and very close to keiss Beach.
And very quiet in the evening👍👍.
Best nights sleep I've had in ages.
I recommend this establishment to others
Everything - Christine & Maree were great hosts who couldn’t do enough for us. Delicious breakfast, lovely views & rooms & added extra of Teddy their lovely little dog. Very relaxed atmosphere. Beach at Keiss is beautiful
Excellent place to stay for one or more nights. Better than most hotels. Andy and Samantha are listening to guest comments and making adjustments all the time. You will not be disappointed with this stay.
Everything you need for a serious comfort stop! BIG, clean, all mod cons and a very welcome roll top bath for a bit of added luxury. Keiss beach long and lovely- and nearby. our dog loved it.
