We only had one night to visit the Royal Mint, which we really enjoyed. We stayed and ate at The Countryman Bed and Breakfast which we really liked. Quiet, clean and comfortable. Lovely little shops and only 2 mins away from the Countryman Inn where we stayed. A lovely coffee shop on the hill, worth a visit ! Also visit the amazing coffee shop/ gift shop next to the Royal Mint selling wooden benches, furniture etc ...

Stayed here to visit Cardiff, which we took a taxi there and back for. The staff were so lovely and welcoming. Whilst waiting for the taxi we all enjoyed a drink in the bar by the fire. The rooms were warm, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was outstanding! one of the best hotel breakfasts I have had in a long time, perfectly cooked and well presented.
