I wanted to return to Lochgoilhead as I used to come here for my summer holidays over 30 years ago and I was not disappointed we had great weather which really made a difference we were able to go out and about. The hotel is lovely and clean and the views are amazing. We ate in the hotel which was lovely as we sat in the sun terrace and breakfast was lovely only issue is the single track road down to Lochgoilhead which you have to be very careful on.

Stunning scenery. Peaceful setting.
Stunning scenery. Peaceful setting. Lots of nice walks locally. Single track road is the only way in and out to this loch, so be aware on the winter if there is snow it can be tricky. Also not many shops nearby.

Beautiful scenery. The loch was on our doorstep.
Beautiful scenery. The loch was on our doorstep. Lots of great walks to go on, and not too far from other areas such as Loch Lomond. The Goil Inn was excellent for evening meals. Everyone in the area is very warm and friendly.

The village is not far from Loch Fyne oyster bar and Inverary where there are good places to eat. Inverary Castle was worth a visit with the castle itself and beautiful gardens,
Not far from there is Auchendrain, a historic Highland township.

Beautiful scenery, but very few places to park up and enjoy.
Beautiful scenery, but very few places to park up and enjoy. One picnic bench on boggy ground behind Carrick Castle. Only one place to eat out within 20 minute drive. Would need to travel over 40 minutes for more options. No outside space to relax and enjoy the surroundings and a significant drive to get anywhere else.
Lovely restored cottage . In keeping to scotlands beautiful location . Welcome pack good . Beverages could be better presented No teapot . Loved the books selection . Thank you that was an added treat . Cottage was clean and beds really comfortable. I love the garden . Really good to have stayed in village and great access for walking to Mountains. Did not need to take car most of the time to walk . Loved the boat hire
I absolutely loved my visit and will definitely be back. Billy and Liz are so welcoming I felt at home as soon as I arrived the food was outstanding and I would highly recommend The Shore House as a great place to stay when visiting Lochgoilhead.
Bungalow was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Ideally located in Lochgoilhead village, 5 minutes walk to the Goil Inn. lovely back garden, stunning views, fully equipped, great central heating, shower. Just lovely.
The hotel is set in a beautiful location - you need to drive several miles on a single track road but there are plenty of passing spaces. Facilities and the room were first class. Staff were very friendly.
The hosts thought about everything, we really enjoyed our stay,
Everything was clean, breakfast was great, gave us recommendations for walks around and for dinner, the hosts were always available for us
Very sweet cottage in Lochgoilhead with a lovely interior design. Loved to be able to see the Loch from the cottage. Very friendly host/ contact person. If you enjoy hiking, this is a lovely base!
Beautiful surroundings, with excellent facilities on site. The hotel is absolutely spotless and modern and every member of staff were friendly & helpful and provided outstanding customer service
Beautiful lochside location. Billy and Liz are warm and welcoming hosts and the hotel is cosy and comfortable. Just wished I could have stayed longer, certainly hope to visit again.
Beautiful setting and wonderful property. The staff was very helpful. Many things to do on site for both adults and kids. Restaurant was great for both dinner and breakfast.
Perfect location for a restful holiday. Never been to Lochgoilhead, but will definitely be back. Would also have no hesitation in booking the same cottage.
