The location and view were spectacular. I could see and hear the ocean from the cabin, and had easy walking access to the South West Coast Path as well as the town of Minehead. The space itself was comfortable and charming. An amazing place to stay!

We loved the laid back atmosphere. The high street was busy with a diverse variety of shops, restaurants and cafes. The Victorian town is beautiful. Lots of lovely architecture, walks and a beautiful park. Also a nice beach which was a bonus. We would recommend you investigate all the little side streets for hidden gems. Also very dog friendly.

Minehead is a good beach resort and a central starting point for exploring Somerset and particularly Exmoor as a path starts a short walk from the Hotel.
The West Somerset steam railway is the longest standard gauge heritage line at 21 miles taking a full hour each way through pretty well kept stations and is only a short walk along the front the hotel.

Minehead is a thriving seaside town with many individual and chain shops, eateries, coffee bars, a park and places of worship and of course the beach! It is an easy town to walk around, especially if you have a walking problem. The traffic during our stay was light fr the time of year and parking in the town was easy. It is also a very friendly place to visit.

We liked the older part of the town towards the harbour and being there out of peak season it was quiet, during the peak summer months clearly would be busier and nosier. The town is easy to get around and has plenty of parking, the old railway centre is also very good and worth a visit. We used one of the fish and chip shops in Bampton Street which was excellent and had a meal in the Hairy Dog which was good pub food. Minehead is also a good place as a base for visiting other parts of the Somerset coast and close the Exmoor. Dunster Castle is also nearby and well worth a visit.

Great family town with beach and Steam Railway.
Great family town with beach and Steam Railway. Plenty of shopping choices. Friendly, helpful shop owners. The look of the main street is good. The bus facilities were brilliant ! Plenty of parking if you have a car. The beach is long and mostly sandy. I'd recommend the fish and chip bar along the front and Oggy's pasty shop on the Avenue.

This is a lovely clean, and spacious apartment that is a credit to the owners. We had the ground floor flat which is a step free 2 minute walk to the seafront. There is access to a pretty communal outdoor courtyard. The location is in a quiet street only a few hundred yards to Minehead town centre where there are many bars, restaurants, and takeaways. On the seafront is the start/finish marker for the south west coastal path, 600 miles or so to Poole.
Everything about Steps Farmhouse was perfect. The hosts were extremely welcoming, fun to be with and helpful. The range and quality of the breakfast food were truly exceptional, and the facilities such as the breakfast room, bedroom, garden and garden bar with help-yourself drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) were delightful. The location was perfect for the Somerset coast, Dunster, Exmoor, Porlock, etc.
Everything! Don't be misled by the YMCA affiliation, Many of the staff are YMCA trainees.
The room was large and airy and clean, with a view across the harbour. The bathroom was clean and comfortable.
The bar and the restaurant down stairs offered a wide range of drinks and an extensive menu. A full English Breakfast was included in the price and at 75 pound the Beach Hotel is excellent value for money.
Greeted by Barry the owner (next door) who made us welcome.
The self-catering apartment was very clean and roomy and included 2 en-suite bedrooms with an additional separate toilet. It has a large unclutered living room/lounge and a well equipped kitchen with dining area.
Short level walk to reach all Minehead attractions.
Good off road parking at the rear of the apartment was always available.
Location very good for local amenities shops eateries beach. Dog friendly. Particularly loved the Hotel grounds with walk down through gardens into other public gardens to town & beach.
Amazing countryside sightseeing places within 17 miles drive.
Staff natural friendly helpful . good room tea coffee replenishments. Pool Leisure area a bonus with good facilities.
The room and ensuite were both very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding clean and crisp. It was great to be able to make a cup of tea in the room in the morning. It was very quiet and peaceful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We felt very comfortable having our dog with us in this hotel.
Dog friendly guest house and great hosts. Breakfast was amazing. Dogs are not allowed in the dining room. However, the host made sure we could take Breakfast together in the lounge. Perfect. Hotel only minutes away from the town and amenities and plenty of parking. Great stay, thank you
