Warwick House, Penzance Exceptional 9.5 Hosts were very welcoming room was clean breakfast excellent good location with parking
The Ship Inn, Penzance Very good 8.2 Located right in town, this lovely pub had wonderful staff, great rooms and the best English breakfast
Beachfield Hotel, Penzance Very good 8.3 everything about the service and facilities were great, the food was first class.
YHA Penzance Very good 8.3 The staff were friendly, efficient hard working and informative. The facilities were brilliant, loads of showers, loos and hot water all the time! Wonderful location in a fabulous setting, and although 1 minute from the main road 'DEAD QUIET' 100% satisfied!
Trereife House, Penzance Excellent 8.8 The staff could not do enough for us. They went beyond the call to duty. Very professional but also made us feel like at home. Good B/ Fast.
The Queens Hotel, Penzance Good 7.4 Everything! If possible get a seaview room which is very large and has breathtaking views over the bay. The seawalk is right outside the hotel and people are strolling up and down all day. The breakfast room/dining room also overlooks the bay. Parking is included and is immediately behind the hotel. There is a chair lift for the stairs up from the parking but it is tempermental. I found it better to walk around to the front. The staff will gladly assist with luggage from your car if asked. Our room was huge and lovely with two chairs at a huge bay window where we had coffee every morning. There is a lift, a nice quiet pub, a beautiful front facing (bay view) sunroom where you can have tea or just chat. It is a gracious, beautiful place. Walking into town would be difficult for me due to the hills but a taxi can deposit you in minutes which is preferable to finding parking downtown. We walked to the Navy Pub and had a lovely meal. The food in the hotel was lovely, also - breakfast and dinner. It is a 15 minute easy drive to Land's End and St Michael's Mount which can also be viewed from the hotel. We spent a lovely three days and wished we could have stayed longer. Free wifi is available on the first floor only due to the age of the hotel and the very thick walls. We did not find that an issue - the charm of the Queens Hotel more than makes up the difference. It is a wonderful place to chat with other travelers, read a book, relax. I would recommend it highly.
Ashton Guest House, Penzance Wonderful 9.2 Everything fabulous. Hosts are very special people and helpful. Breakfast excellent. Location very good close to the promenade. Artist in residence.
Abbey Hotel, Penzance Wonderful 9.2 The decor (charming), the comfort, the warm welcome, the facilities including the large, beautiful common area, the skill of the staff.
Cliff Hotel, Penzance Pleasant 6.1 I liked the slightly old-fashioned (in a good way) feel of the place. As an oldie myself, I felt very much at home. Also, it was very handy for the train station.
Mount Haven Hotel, Penzance Wonderful 9.1 Amazing location, will use the Mount Haven again next time I am in Cornwall. Excellent breakfast.
