11 miles from Aberystwyth which is pretty well a straight run so staying here was an excellent base. we priced up hotels in Aberystwyth and not only were they more expensive but the reviews were quite poor. very happy that we stayed in Ponterwyd.
The hotel is located in a great place and near to a wonderful waterfall. It was a pure pleasure to have a nice view and hear the birds singing and water rushing every morning. The room was spacious enough for a couple, clean, ensuring a comfortable stay. The staff at the hotel are incredibly welcoming and go out of their way to make sure guests have everything they need. Dining at the hotel is an experience in itself, with a variety of delicious, well-prepared dishes.
Hotel was easy to find and was in a lovely location with amazing view's. We arrived on motorcycles and didn't even have to ask they asked us if we wanted the bike parked in there secure garage over night. The room was just right had a nice shower and all the amenities I needed. And the breakfast was lovely. The staff were all very kind and helpful.
Found the hotel easily on the main road. Room was OK (twin room for myself and my son). Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean (the TV didn't work but that didn't matter to me). Wifi worked and I watched a film on netflix on my laptop. All in all, good value for money.
lovely hotel, friendliest staff I've ever met, great storage for our motorbikes, My brothers room was spot on and they slept really well. Breakfast was lovely and the bar in the evening was great. Would definitely use again if staying in the area
The location and the owners make this hotel a lovely place to stop for the night. The view from the garden is stunning, with green hills and a waterfall into the river. The food and service was great. We were made to feel very welcome.
Hotel was really nice, the family who own it are lovely people who were very welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. The food here is exceptional, great portion sizes and oh so tasty! Would highly recommend, we will be back.
I loved the welcome and they had space in the garage for motorcycles which was really good. 100% recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning next year. Massive well done to all the team that run the place 👏 👍
The room was clean, good views, staff were friendly and polite. We ate at the hotel in the evening, the food was lovely and well priced. We were also able to store our motorbikes in the garage next to the hotel.
The hotel managed to accommodate us for evening meals even though we were quite late and also offered breakfast boxes when we found out we had to leave each day before breakfast.
