Leopold Hotel Excellent 8.8 Location and staff friendliness
Norfolk Arms Hotel Excellent 8.9 Very warm welcome, good food and drinks. Cosy rooms and excellent breakfast to start the day.
The Harley Pleasant 6.8 Where can i start. Fantastic location brilliant staff and service and easily the best food i have had in the last 5 years. I doubt whether this place could get any better! I have stayed at this establishment every year for the past 8 years and not once have i ever had a bad experience .
The Sheffield Metropolitan Hotel Good 7.9 I have nothing but excellent things to say about my stay at this hotel. Any/all of the bad reviews of The Sheffield Metropolitan are the complete opposite of my experience. I'm from America and stayed in this hotel for 9 days. Everything (and I mean everything) was perfect! The room was a lot bigger then I expected, the comfort of the bed was wonderful, the bathtub was huge AND included a heated towel rack (awesome bonus), housekeeping was the best I think I've ever seen, the staff were always very friendly and very helpful, and the price could not be beat. I actually stayed my last night in England at a hotel by the Airport in Manchester (due to an early flight) that cost twice as much and was absolutely horrible. With everything The Sheffield Metropolitan has to offer, it's quality is 100% better then any high priced hotel (aka "higher end" hotels near the airport). The next time I come for a visit, I will most def stay in this hotel again.
The Rutland Hotel Good 7.5 Sharp knife with breakfast Roomy shower Could park
Best Western Cutlers Hotel Good 7.8 Very friendly staff, had a laugh and took pictures of us in our stag do outfits
City Lodgings Apartments Very good 8.1 Great value for money! Cousy! Clean! Good kitchen! Everything worked propoly even washing machine.
Houseboat Hotels Wonderful 9.3 Stayed for 2 nights, was very comfortable. Made a great change from staying in a hotel. Everything you need is there, plenty of space to relax. Very close to city centre, but also quiet and tranquil at the same time. Would stay again .
Garrison Hotel Very good 8.5 A secluded hotel which not only meets the standards of other hotels but is also very near the city centre. Food is amazing and the Yorkshire dinner is divine. Staff are friendly and are happy to help you.
Hillsborough Hotel Good 7.8 We first arrived and was a bit put off by the outside of the building, bit old and weathered. When we arrived we checked in at the bar and was greeted by a lovely lady who was very pleasant and helpful. We were staying in the room for three people because myself and my friend were up visiting my daughter who is in university at Sheffield and thought it would be nice if she could spend the evening with us, the room was very spacious the only thing that put us off was the tramline running right in front of the window but we did not hear this at all from the room. The breakfast was lovely and we also had lunch there Saturday and Sunday which was very good value for money home cooked food. I would strongly recommend this hotel I will always stay there when visiting my daughter in future. Just don't be put off by the look of the outside
The Florentine Excellent 8.7 We liked the atmosphere, both in our room and in the lobby/restaurant. The interior in our family room was beautiful and we loved to stay there. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was very good with several choises. The pizzas were excellent! We wíll really recommended this hotel to friends.
Halifax Hall Wonderful 9.1 We were given a spacious room so there was space for the extra child's bed. The flexibility and helpfulness of the staff in this regard was much appreciated, in fact the staff overall were always really friendly and helpful. The bathroom was also pretty big which was great. We had to walk up the stairs as there's no lift, but being on the top floor, the room was quiet. It was lovely to have some trees and grounds outside - our little boy loved running around.
Don Valley Hotel Good 7.8 Staff can't do enough for you very welcoming. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, Breskfast was good in the morning and they sell Red Stripe in a can decent
Wilson Carlile Centre Excellent 8.8 proximity to university and facilities friendly staff peaceful atmosphere extreme cleanliness brand new food price quiet neighborhood
Erskine Apartments Wonderful 9 the staff were brilliant and the rooms were incredible everything and more was done for us, with robes and a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge. the cleanliness was outstanding, couldnt fault this place at all

    Beyond The Full Monty

Partially located in the Peak District, Sheffield is best known as the setting of "The Full Monty" and indeed, vibrant Sheffield has everything: excellent shopping, great nightlife and an impressive athletic heritage.

It first became famous during the Industrial Revolution for its pioneering role in the UK steel industry. One technique invented here is commemorated in the name of its most famous theater, The Crucible, home of the Snooker World Championships.

Close by are the peaceful Winter Gardens with their multi-arched roof. The Peace Gardens are overlooked by the elegant town hall, and the focal building of the impressive Botanical Gardens somewhat resembles Crystal Palace, also by the same architect.

The city’s 2 soccer teams – Sheffield United and Wednesday – play at Bramall Lane and Hillsborough Stadium respectively. The cutting-edge English Institute of Sport is also based here, and the nearby Sheffield Arena is a prime UK venue for music and entertainment. The best shopping is found in the Meadowhall Centre near Rotherham.’s Sheffield accommodations include city center hotels with parking, others by Victoria Train Station, and guesthouses near Doncaster Sheffield Robin Hood Airport.

Hotels that Guests Love in Sheffield

    • Excellent location - Plenty of places to eat and drink, cinema, tenpin bowling, the Arena, cash machine all a stones throw away. Catch the tram behind the Cinema - few stops to Meadowhall one way and City Centre the other! Hotel modern and clean. Fab shower. Helpful staff.

    • Easy access to Trams for both Meadowhall Shopping Centre and the City Centre, so we left the car at the hotel and explored on foot. Sheffield has loads of good stuff, both nearby and further away. Breakfast was good value and perfectly adequate, staff helpful and friendly. Would stay again (for a night or two).

    • The hotel location is right in the city centre; rooms very functional, comfortable and spotlessly clean. James on reception is an excellent ambassador for Premier. A good Premier Inn. It also has a bar and restaurant, which I didn't get to use, but which were an unexpectedly bonus for this chain.

    • Location is near station and city centre. Pleasant bar area and perfectly adequate breakfast, only £8 if paid at check in. Room fine and bed comfortable. A step up from Premier Inn for roughly the same price.

    • Premier Inn is located in the Sheffield city centre and is a short drive to all beautiful places in peak district. Facilities are of high quality and the staff were great too.
