We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Old Pines Hotel and Restaurant. The rooms were spacious and impeccably clean. The location was truly remarkable, offering breathtaking views of the Ben Nevis range and overlooking a charming small creek, visible from the dining room as well.
The breakfast spread was impressive, with plenty of options for a shorter stay. However, it was the dinner experience that truly stood out. It was one of the best dinners we had in Scotland, with ever-changing daily menus accompanied by stunning views. Highly recommended!

The B&B is in a quiet setting with an exceptional view of Ben Nevis from the garden (and your room window). It is very peaceful. I stayed on night with my dog (a stop over to break up a longer journey North) and was delighted to see a herd of red deer and a wild peacock (and one of three pea hens). The host has bird feeders in the garden so there are smaller birds everywhere. The B&B is very easy to find. It is sign-posted from the main road. Spean Bridge is only a few miles further along the road - well worth visiting for food, shops, and the Commando monument.

The things we liked about Coire Glas was the lovely warm welcome from the hosts Simon and Morven, the views all around were gorgeous, hosts went above and beyond nothing was any trouble, which are very grateful for.
Our room were spacious, very clean and homely we loved it, the breakfast was amazing and it gave us a great start to our hiking day with a extra bonus Simon dropped us off at our staring point at a very small charge. We would definitely stay in Coire Glas in the future 5* thank you & continued success in your wonderful property.

Spean Bridge is a pretty little place with some stunning walks and scenery. The shop has everything you need for your stay and there is also a Post office. There wasn't a huge selection of places to eat or drink and some were closed when we were there but it was probably just the time of year and we ventured into Fort William which has plenty of choice to eat and drink.

Beautiful Small Village tucked away from the Hussle and bustle. Quite and Peaceful area. Mai Bus root to Fort William and surrounding area's.
Locals are so helpful and supportive, specially, i was waiting for a bus to turn up for a while when a beautiful lady turned up and asked me if i was okay as she had noticed me being waiting at bus stop quite a while.

It's a good place to explore the area.
It's a good place to explore the area. Spean Bridge itself is tiny, but has one excellent restaurant at the Old Station. There are some other places but they are only open until 4 or 5, so I did not visit those. For additional options, you'd have to take a 15-minute drive to the next town over (Fort William).
My hotel - Highland Bridge Hotel - has a pub attached that was frequented every night by the locals. So there is a place to hang out if you must.
Overall a good location to explore the Scottish countryside. Considering everywhere you have to go will take you an hour, it isn't so bad you're basically 15 minutes out of town.

We felt safe and secure in our accommodation.
We felt safe and secure in our accommodation. Felt intimidated by locals who got angry with us for not breaking the speed restrictions and we were not alone that felt this! Not much to do in the actual village itself but is a good base to venture out, the b and b we stayed in though was a pleasure to come home to - Braelea, run by Margaret. A fabulous lady with knowledge for days out. We are in restaurants recommended by Margaret.

Rosebank is owned by wonderful lady by the name of Teresa, who reminds you of your favourite aunt whom you rarely see but welcomes you with open arms. She made us feel like we'd been there before, set a lovely table with lots of breakfast options, keeps an immaculate house with very comfortable accommodations and genuinely made us feel like we were home. I would HIGHLY recommend Rosebank to anyone staying near Ft. William or Spean Bridge. I wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely be booking with here for our next trip

The main reason we visited Spean Bridge was to climb Ben Nevis. There were plenty of other activities around, I would recommend West Highland Outdoor Centre for a Segway tour. Highland Soap Company is worth a visit, they do great coffee too.
The owners, Dani and Cameron were so kind and welcoming and full of great information of things to do in their area and restaurants to go to. Appreciated the heads up regarding reserving restaurants in advance for dinner. The breakfasts were superb, one morning was the pancakes with berries, and the next morning was a Scottish breakfast. Nice to have a living room to relax in in the evening and meet and chat with the other guests. We loved our time there, and would definitely return.
We dont generally stay in B+B's but the welcome and space in this huge house in Spean bridge made it feel like home. We were even picked up from the trail by the owner saving us a three mile walk or waiting hours for a bus. We also got a lift to a restaurant for dinner !
A huge quiet room very comfortable bed, everything you needed in there and a wonderful breakfast. Friendly hosts, everything you could want for a good price.
10/10 for the host. Karin was amazing; friendly, nice, and chatty. Room is small but has everything it needs.
A nice benefit is the pub in the same building with reasonably priced drinks; here you can watch sports with the locals and it's quite busy on Friday night, but I didn't hear any of it after going to bed.
Hotel in a very quiet location. Dinner may be served upon request.
Very comfortable, clean, well located cottage with character but also good WiFi /TV ( kids were happy ).Rachel is very warm and welcoming, greeting you with famous scones, bread and milk. She thinks of all your needs and makes the stay feel luxurious.
We did lots of walks in the area, including Ben Nevis climb and parkrun at fort William, both so close to drive to.
Great location for anyone visiting Spean Bridge or the Killiechonate estate. Recently renovated to a very high standard with 3 comfortable bedrooms, well fitted out kitchen and a welcoming sitting room with log burner and an endless supply of wood. Also a washing machine, dryer and drying room for when you get wet on the hill.....
Highly recommended.
We loved our stay. Morris and Susan were very friendly and helpful, they helped us plan our weekend in Fort Williams and told us about the best places to visit.
Our room was really nice, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing...especially the porridge, sooo good!
We are definitely staying here again on our next visit to the area.
Enjoyed hearing all the information on the Kings and Queens of England and Scotland. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast room was pleasant. The location was very convenient to Spean Bridge and Fort William. The room was comfortable and it was nice to have tea and cookies provided.
Marjory and Willie were so welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent - Willie is a wizard with poached eggs! The views from the house are fabulous. Spean Bridge is a very good centre for lots of different attractions; Glencoe, Fort William, Skye and much more.
very warm and cosy, great location for exploring and walking, only 14 minutes to fort William and a further 10 to Glen Coe.
great hosts who supplied everything you needed from some drinks to snacks and breakfast items to get you started.
Will return here next year for sure
Marjory and Willie were excellent hosts. Great welcome. Very helpful. Beautiful B&B. Very clean. Marjory was kind enough to give us a lift home from Spean Bridge so that we could enjoy wine with our dinner. Highly recommend in every respect.
Margaret was an inspiring and kind person. The house and the room were as described. It was cosy and we felt very well. The breakfast was great and gave us energy for some beautiful hikes in the area of fort williams and Glenfinnan.
Everything - owners were lovely. Very welcoming. Rooms are bright, clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast very tasty. Location is great - in easy walking distance of Spean Bridge.
Beautiful, historic B & B with stunning views. Set in quiet rural location a short drive from Fort William. Spacious, comfortable rooms and delicious freshly cooked breakfast.
