they have everything (except a Hottib) for a relaxing atmosphere for the Holidays. Danielle, Millie , Sean , Azzure, at reception couldn’t be more helpful and kind. Oscar, Scott, the Baristers were fun to talk to and very, very pleasant. I’d would highly recommend anyone staying at the Double Tree Oxford for any occasions. D. Scott Easton

Fabulously appointed self contained units with everything you could ask for! We particularly appreciated the mini fridge and fresh milk! Lovely little touches and great style. The bed is super comfortable and the shower room was perfect. We liked the environmentally.conscious approach! Brilliant!. We will be returning.... Breakfast delicious and plentiful, dinner equally impressive! Attentive and courteous staff.

the room was clean, characterful and comfortable. The shower was excellent. The owner went above and beyond by driving us herself to our restaurant (on a busy Friday night) when the taxi they had booked for us called to say they wouldn’t make it in time . Cannot rate them highly enough

I visited following a wedding in Dinton church, with a reception at Notley Abbey. Thame seems to be fairly well served with shops and hostelries; staying on a Saturday night in Central Thame Cottage I wasn’t disturbed by outside noise at all. The report from friends staying in the Spread Eagle a couple of hundred yards down the road, was that there was noise both at the front and back into the small hours of the morning from two different parties. The evening meal on Saturday I had at The Thatch pub, in a private room, was excellent, and breakfast at the Spread Eagle on Sunday morning was fine.

Thame is a very nice small market town.

Thame is a very nice small market town. There are some very lovely medieval buildings in the high street and a nice church where Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees is buried. It is a very good base for cycling either to the north, north-west to Oxford or south to the Chilterns. There is the Phoenix Trail which will take you to the base of the Chilterns. Lots of nice tea rooms and good parking either in the centre of the town or in various car parks near the high street.

Great town for the day and an overnight stay, but probably lots to do if you wanted an extra night. There are a lot of excellent pubs that also serve food and some decent shops. I chose the Old Red Lion on price as I needed to be in Thame early the following morning. The pub was not operational, no staff were on site and access to the rooms was by keypad. The bathroom was shared but there did not seem to be anyone else staying while I was there. I did not need an evening meal fortunately as no food or breakfast was available - I drove into Thame to find plenty of cafes the following morning.

Beautiful, private & quiet. Had everything you need for a couple’s staycation. Easy & clear instructions for arrival into the property, use of the hot tub, bbq etc. Cosy bed - haven’t had a sleep this good in ages! If you take a few minutes walk to the main road, you can catch the quick bus to the Thames Town Centre which was lovely.

Relaxed ambience of the hotel and yet good quality. Loved our spa treatments and the use of the pool, sauna and steam room. Had afternoon tea in the restaurant as part of our package with very generous portions including gluten free options. We enjoyed an eve meal then brunch in the bar area. Would recommend and stay again!
