A beautiful little town with plenty to explore!
A beautiful little town with plenty to explore! Tintern Abby was the main attraction I wanted to see. It was brilliant and I would have liked to see a bit more than I did. Definitely will book another trip sometime and give myself at least two days to explore the area and its history properly.

It was beautifully furnished and Anika made us very welcome.
It had quality bed linen towels and toiletries.
We had fresh milk in our room every day.
The light breakfast was substantial with home made bread and jams.
The location to see the area was very good.

Lovely location in Wye valley.
Lovely location in Wye valley. Tintern Abbey well worth a visit (just a pity most of the church isn't accessible at the moment due to conservation work). Pleasant, though steep walk to Devil's Pulpit and Offa's Dyke. Lovely short walk to Old Tintern Railway Station and this is definitely worth a visit.

Tintern is a small village alongside the river Wye just in Wales, the Abbey is very interesting and there are a number of tea shops and craft centres, the old railway station is a must, also good for walking
Wonderful and incredibly helpful people. Delicious food. Beautiful location. Comfortable and clean and finally felt like I was able to fully relax.
The hotel has an entire binder full of hikes you can take in the general location. Even if you’re just there to relax or find yourself unable to take advantage of the wonderful scenery for some reason, this hotel is such a great place to stay. Great food and people happy to help with anything you may be having trouble with. I will remember this place fondly for years to come.
The Wild Hare is a very comfortable pub with rooms well located in Tintern, easily accessible from Chepstow and the M4. Cosy room with good facilities and a great lounge area for reading / working with excellent WIFI. All staff were extremely helpful and keen to ensure I had a good stay. Good food although it was the first day of new menu so some options were not yet available and staff were unsure of some details. Breakfast was delicious - wonderful scrambled eggs and local smoked salmon!
The location was incredible! The photos do not do it justice. 2 minute drive to Tintern Abbey and a lovely pub with a park and field for the kids to play in.
All instructions were left for appliances and general things including what to do in the local area.
Use of towels, bedding, cleaning products and even cutlery & crockery were perfect and made everything so much easier. It was definitely a home from home and we will be back again.
The location of the flat is overlooking the river wye which was delightful. It is placed in the in the village of Tintern which is a beautiful village and walks around the village and beyond are accessible from the flat, which we really enjoyed. The hosts left lots of notes and instructions so we didn't need any additional help during the stay. The flat was well equipped - we cooked Christmas dinner in the flat, which was trouble-free.
We booked this room by pure chance since we were staying nearby but our hotel didn't have availability for the Saturday. The village of Tintern is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. The b&b was very quirky, and the rooms were decorated with so much attention to detail. The owner was a very nice lady who was super welcoming. She recommended a restaurant the wild hare where we had a fantastic meal.
An absolutely superb hotel. Wonderful staff, marvellous food and charming location. The room was spacious, clean, quiet and fitted with everything we could need. The staff were kind and friendly, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They even have an upper car park for convenient with the side building, which was a welcome surprise. I would definitely stay here again. Full marks!
Beautiful view over the river. Good facilities, everything you could want in an apartment. Comfy and cosy. Great pub very near just along the road to the left, plus a little village shop. Plenty of walks to enjoy and a couple of choices of where to eat at the end of each day. Easy to find and park thanks to clear directions from hosts. Would definitely recommend.
The hotel was excellent and the staff were very welcoming. Ideally located for exploring the Wye Valley. The room was clean and comfortable with lovely views.
The food was excellent(fish and chip a must). Breakfast was made to order. Couldn't ask for more. We will be returning.
The sitting area on the lawn near the wood fire pizza kitchen was very nice. Dinner was good, and the options and quantity for breakfast even better. Very close proximity to the ruins of Tintern Abbey and the start of the hike to The Devils Pulpit across the river in England.
Lovely hotel , very comfortable room with a doggie bed for Freddie and a little gift box for him , a lovely touch .
Freddie’s scrambled egg was delivered to our room at night , his usual supper to accompany his chicken .
You really are a dog friendly hotel . Well done
We had a great stay here! We were only there one night but the owner was so amazing-super welcoming and friendly. Lovely, comfy, big bed. Awesome breakfast in the morning. Perfect position for a walk around Tintern. Would definitely stay again.
As you pull up to the hotel it is like a picture with all the flowers out the front Barry and sue and the rest of the staff were very friendly and the food was exceptional we all said we would go there again at some point.
Lovely home, with nice touches such as fresh flowers cut from the garden, plenty of fluffy towels and toiletries. Lovely view from terrace and super gracious host who offered great advice for local walks and pubs.
Friendly hosts good location with lovely riverside walk to Brockweir and circular via Tintern from path through the church a few yards away. .also nice safe roadside walk to Tintern about half a mile
Well presented, clean and tidy, comfortable with everything you need for a break. Great location for visiting Tintern, the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean. Plenty of places close by for food and drinks.
beautiful little hut with everything you need. nice and quiet. A bit of a walk from the centre of tintern, took around 35 minutes. plenty of walks on the doorstep, along with pubs.
Lovely lodge, and Marta was a wonderful hostess who served us delicious English breakfast...nice pub in town and the food was excellent. We'll be back.
