Tutbury is a really lovely place in very nice countryside.
Tutbury is a really lovely place in very nice countryside. The high street has retained its quite select features, is clean and well cared for. The hotel is central to the street. Not a place for retail therapy but one excellent antique centre in the old Chapel plus a few eateries and take-seats. Overall it is a lovely central place to stay.

Lovely little village, quiet but went in March.
Lovely little village, quiet but went in March. Castle not open but we had a pleasant walk around the village. There are a few shops for browsing.
The Courtyard cafe is worth a visit - had a lovely brunch there and the coffee was great!
the Hourglass is also recommended - light evening meals - had the veggie platter; very nice

Nice quaint village with plenty of character and history.
Nice quaint village with plenty of character and history. Nice food at the Dog and Partridge, bit tricky to get to using the Satnav from Alton Towers but might have been my navigation! Will be visiting again soon.

Tutbury was a lovely friendly town with everything you needed within walking distance. Our favourite place was Ye Olde Dog and Partridge Hotel where we stayed overnight and ate and drank there also..

A lovely little town, and very quiet at night, until a poor lady with mental health issues kicked off in the street in the middle of the night. Looking back, I should have called 999, but someone did come along and calm her down.
Family trip to Alton Tower, we stayed 2 nights at the Dog and Partridge, just over half hour drive from Alton Tower, worth the extra time driving, the hotel/pub was lovely, I think its the best one we stayed in.
The staff was lovely, specially a young lady that checked us in, I forgot to request extra bed for our room, she was very hospitable, promptly made up the extra bed. We had breakfast only, plenty to choose from the menu.
We going to Alton Tower again this October for Halloween and booked 2 nights at Dog and Partridge.
Brilliant value for money. Fantastic room with massive bed and a huge bath. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and we're a real credit to their employer. Food was very good too (had an evening meal and breakfast). Good selection of alcohol free drinks too. Tutbury is a lovely village and we were perfectly located.
Very stylish and luxurious. Huge bed was so comfortable. Perfect location as guests at a wedding at Tutbury Castle which we could see from the house! Gorgeous toiletries. Sarah the host was a fabulous communicator. Do not hesitate to book this. Worth paying the price for.
Communication from Sarah was excellent throughout my entire stay. The cottage was spotlessly clean and exceptionally well appointed. Tutbury is a charming village, plenty of great options for food and drinks. Bonus points for for the local peacocks!
Beautiful 15th century hotel. Tea and coffee facilities in the room, mini fridge and safe. Very comfy bed and good standard of cleanliness. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Enjoyed it so much we decided to stay for lunch the next day .
Great location convenient for access to Tutbury..and good walking country...very nice welcome from the host. There was good kitchen utensils available and a very comfortable bed...I am happy to recommend this accommodation.
Very well decorated and very comfy bed.
Fantastic view of Tutbury castle from the decking area.
Lots of nice shops and cafe’s and pubs
Parked right in front of house, free car park 1 minute away as well.
Location is beautiful.
The owner is very welcoming and friendly but leaves you alone to enjoy the peace and quiet of a beautiful village. Tutbury is very nice and quiet.
It was self contained which was a lot better than a hotel. It can be booked for one or two nights which was perfect for us. It allowed dogs which is a bonus
