Cave Castle Hotel, hotel in Walkington

Escape to the timeless elegance of Cave Castle Hotel, a historic manor house set amidst picturesque parkland and enchanting woodlands.

Staff was lovely, every one of them. Amazing and quiet location. Lots of places to eat and the food was always good. The room was very spacious and the castle had really great decorations. The TV was also a smart TV. Shower had good water pressure. The town nearby also has a few amenities, worth exploring for 1-2 hours.

We used Walkington as a stop off for an overnight on our way to a weekend at Bridlington. The village is lovely, it has a choice of 3 pubs, The Dog and Duck, The Ferguson Fawsitt and The Barrel. A steady easy walk into Beverley can be made from the village, it is a 2.5 mile walk along well maintained footpaths. Taxis can easily be obtained in Beverley if required for the trip back

Whilst we were there the weather was perfect, travelled around the local area taking in the sights, Beverley was interesting, nice to be able to go into the cathedral. Not too far away from the coast.
