Gibraltar is small in size , and a keen walker like myself was able to cover almost the whole area on foot . Because of the time of year , the day trips to Morocco and Spain were not running . I did mean to travel to both , but as it was a "last minute" trip I didn't check on their availability . I visited many places of interest , and would definitely recommend taking the cable car up to the top of the rock . Set off early , and combine the nature reserve entry on your ticket . Try to do as much as you can on the one day . It works out far cheaper that way .

The rock itself is magnificent and the warm winter temperature was lovely. Travelling in January means far fewer tourists and no queues, which made visiting attractions easy. Similarly, getting into restaurants without reservations was no problem. Ideal for a history buff and a nature lover.

Gibraltar is just the ticket for a short break in the winter...
Gibraltar is just the ticket for a short break in the winter sun. There’s a comfortable mix of Spanish and some of the better aspects of English culture, and the place is well-organised and managed. It won’t appeal to those looking for ’Continental’ atmosphere, but the Englishness is diluted by the Spanish influence.
A visit to the Rock is essential, if only to come in to contact with Europe’s only population of (semi-)wild macaques, but there is plenty more of interest.

Gibraltar was what i expected, lovely for a visit and some sunshine, Local Taxi's are not cheap and very untrustworthy, ours did not show up for our airport transfer even though it was pre-booked for which they charge a £5 booking fee.
Our flight was cancelled due to bad winds in the area, we have since learned that this is quite normal for this time of year as the runway is not as long as some
Where to start.... Location was perfect, right in the heart of the town. The room has a fabulous kitchinette, great for warm croissants or a nice cuppa. The bathroom is lovely and clean, plenty of towels. The room has lots of space and a decent sized TV. Has 2 fans too which were appreciated.
So onto the host. She was simply 5 star. Gave us lots of tips, restaurants and bars and places to go. That really put the cherry on the cake.
If your looking for a great value place to stay in the heart of Gib well congratulations you have found it!
A nice hotel in a great location. It looks like it has been refurbished in recent years. The rooms are comfortable and spacious with a spacious bathroom. Housekeeping of the room and bathroom was very good with all towels refreshed daily (sheets were not changed once during a six night stay however).
The hotel is very convenient for all central heritage sights, restaurants and shopping, and also close to bus stops. The bus services take you anywhere in Gibraltar and are clean, frequent and punctual.
Fantastic boat located on one of the marinas, Johnny and Tracey were fantastic hosts and made us both feel very much at home, particularly as we'd had to book at very very short notice due to a cancelled flight. If you're looking for something a little different this is the place to stay. Very convenient location for town and yet very peaceful at night. I would thoroughly recommend staying here again.
We loved every minute of our break away and the yacht was beautiful everything you needed was on board Erwann was lovely he made our stay special gutted we didn't get to say bye to Mike the neighbour next door sure we will see you soon we will definitely be booking back up we will never be staying in a hotel in Gibraltar again this luxury yacht was just the best
Everything about the apartment was fantastic. It was modern and clean, well-equipped and comfortable. The host was very friendly and flexible with our check-out time. Air-con worked perfectly, the bed was large and soft, and the shower was hot . All round, perfect accommodation at much better value than other established hotels in Gibraltar.
Excellent location next to the beach with access via stairs from the hotel pool. Hotel bar serves great food and staff were always accommodating and helpful. 10mins via taxi to the airport approx £8. Bus right outside connecting to main centre of Gibraltar. Plus free mini bar- with some cold drinks.
The flat was just right for our family of 4. Super convenient right in the heart of Gibraltar. Nicely outfitted kitchen, comfortable bedding (although I do prefer fluffier pillows lol) and the private rooftop patio was a huge hit for lunch and afternoon coffee and tea time!
great location and very friendly staff, interior a bit dated but what do you expect from one of the oldest hotels in Gibraltar, the staff went above and beyond to fulfil an order my sister placed for my 50th birthday..absolutely superb
I needed a place to stay for the night and comparing to prices for other hotels in Gibraltar this one is awesome.
Please beware there is a type G sockets in Gibraltar - luckily the lady from the hostel gave me adaptor.
it's going to be a really nice place to stay when construction work in front of it will be finished ( it will take a while). we rented a master suite, it was unique. beautiful views of marina and Gibraltar rock.
A really nice hotel in a Good location backing on to Main Street.
Welcoming clean and nice smelling lobby. Staff helpful.
Comfy bed but mattress topper kept moving and made the bed lumpy.
Clean, nice view, nice location. We went to get married and they took care of sending the proof of stay to the registry office as soon as we told them what we were going for.
Beautiful location, staff are very professional, hotel is gorgeous and charming. We were married on the small terrace here and stayed several days, it was perfect.
Value. The hotel os right next to the pedestrian zone on one end and there are a few resteraunts nearby. I could see the rock from my room, but your milage may vary.
