Renia Hotel-Apartments Mycket bra 8,1 Nice family hotel in a smaller village - perfect for its location on crete! Rooms are clean, the staff with Manos in charge was great to us during our short stay. We will come back here again in the summer with our kids! They will love the pool Great value for the price - thanks Manos!

Creta Sun Hotel Studios Utmärkt 8,9 Right from the start the e-mails were welcoming and assuring. After a miscommunication with the bus driver we were unhelpfully dropped several kilometers from our requested stop. Dionysis & Irene realized the bus hadn't stopped, so with a combination of e-mails, phone calls and detective work found us about half an hour later walking back along the main road with our backpacks. Good thing to, as the heaves opened about 20 minutes after we got back and we would have had no cover ! It's small and intimate enough to be special place which I'd be happy to return to. After 4 days theysawus off at the bus stop with hugs and small gifts. It was rather like staying with a kind aunt & uncle !

Anatoli Apartments Fantastiskt 9,4 Just come back from the Anatoli Apartments., Agia Pelagia. We booked but weren't conviced that the apartments would be as nice as the photos. We shouldn’t have worried as the apartments, pool and gardens were even better than we expected. Apartments - We had a studio on the ground floor, next to the pool. It was big, well-furnished with enough wardrobe space and the kitchen part was quite big, with a table for four, (handy for inviting our two friends who were staying in the studio above us). My husband went fishing and often caught enough to cook. (See photos). Lovely cotton sheets on the bed and a nice big bathroom with a big, comfortable shower, (showers tend to be very small in Greek Studios). I loved sitting on the terrace when the sun was too hot for me. Cleaning was every two days and the towels and sheets were changed every two days, too. Pool - Quite big and very clean. Sunbeds - very comfortable. As we were there in low season, I can't comment if there were enough beds or how difficult it was to get one. Grounds - Big green lawn area. Meals & snacks - They have a small bar area with very reasonable prices for drinks and snacks. We had a full meal twice at lunchtime and it was fabulous! Homecooked Cretan food at its best!!! We had already eaten in three restaurants on the sea front but all four of us agreed that the meals we had at Anatoli were the best we had had, and were much cheaper than we would have paid in the restaurants. Location - The hotel site says 20 metres from the sea, I think it could be even less!! Straight out of the grounds of the hotel there's a 'supermarket' where you can get all your odds and ends. Next to the supermarket is a long line of restaurants. Beach - It's sandy and long, but not very wide. The local council runs the sunbed concession. As it was low season the sea was a bit too cold for me.
