Beautiful clean beach, sea was perfect for the kids. Plenty of sun beds for hire - at a really reasonable price, we paid €5 a day for 2 beds an umberella and 2 beers! A good choice of restaurants to choose from offering traditional Greek food and lots of fresh seafood. If you are looking for a holiday where you go to the beach during the day and then out for a nice meal on an evening then this is the place, but if you want somewhere with lots of bars and more livelier nightlife then you would be better in another resort. The resort was perfect for us.

Ammoudia is a fantastic secret that lies hidden on Greece's northwest coast. Not overly glitzy like other places and small enough for a comfortable feel it is the perfect place to relax, enjoy the sun, and eat some delicious Greek food.

It a very beautiful place, but there should be one thing to be known about which is the swamp around it. Because of the river and the springs around it is located in the middle of the swamp, so be aware of mosquito's. The water is shallow which is perfect for children, and the beach is sandy, outside of the water and inside of the water.

Attentive owners who helped out with a couple of requests and the place is serviced daily extremely well. Great location near restaurants and there are small shops nearby, though for main supplies a trip to a supermarket is needed. The good sandy beach with safe swimming is a short stroll away. Very happy with the stay here and in Ammoudia which in October was quiet. There are several towns to visit and also historic sites that are worth seeing.

The location is perfect for exploring the Ioanian coastline and the Acheron river, there is also a very nice beach in Ammoudia which is 5 minutes away - perfect for late afternoon. We liked the cleanliness and comfortability of the rooms, but most of all - Giota and everyone in Villa Ikaros were so friendly and hospitable, provided us very good advice about the sights and were always ready to answer any questions we had.

The owners where very caring and when my sister fell and fractured her foot on the morning we were checking out, they were so attentive and patient. I couldn’t recommend this place enough, the location is beyond perfect about a I min walk until your feet are in the sand.
