Nice beaches but everything was extremely touristic and overcrowded. It is easy to move along the island, you don't need to rent a personal mean of transportation. Open air cinema experience was really cool. If you're looking for relax and authenticity try Skopelos instead ;)

We visited during the last week of October which was at the end of the season, so many restaurants bars ,shops were closed. Despite this enough tavernas / restaurants were open to eat somewhere different for our three day stay.
The weather was perfect hot enough but not too hot. There’s not a lot to do, but if you like just to relax and watch the world go by then it’s perfect.
You can easily walk around the town

The city is pretty small, slightly hilly and you can reach everything by feet.
You will not find the typical relaxed Greece feeling here.

Skiathos is beautiful and we are so glad we decided to visit...
Skiathos is beautiful and we are so glad we decided to visit. There are many cute shops and restaurants in the town near the port. We spent four nights there, which was the perfect amount of time. The highlight of our trip were the tours we took on the Kalypso Boat. We spent one day on the Sea and Sun Island Day cruise, which took us to the remote beaches of Lalaria and Kastro and the island of Tsougris. We also took the sunset cruise to Lalaria. There were so few people there, it was amazing! We had great food and drinks, relaxed by the pool and at the beach, and enjoyed meeting welcoming and helpful locals.
Absolutely 5 star service at this great family run modern boutique hotel. Brothers Dimitri and Yanis run a first class operation. Spot of rain? Umbrellas appear. Going to the beach? Towels provided. Their suggestions for activities and dinner were spot on. Very comfortable rooms, almost all of which face the lovely pool. Outstanding breakfast and perfect location at the top of the main pedestrian street of Skiathos. If you’re heading to Skiathos, just stay here and you are assured of a wonderful stay.
The appartment has an excellent location, you don’t need a car to go in Skiathos town. 10 min walking and you are there. 5 minutes to the bus station.
They also have parking available. The cleanliness is at its best.
The garden of the appartent is huge and very nice. The view from there was amazing over the city. You can also see the planes landing and departing.
I don’t have enough words to express how kind the hosts were. Everything was perfect, we will come back next year!
The hotel is brand new and everything is of excellent quality and design and extremely clean!!! The owners are extremely helpful but also very polite and genuinely nice people. The facilities are excellent and we had everything we needed and more. The hotel is also very well located, close to the center but also away enough from all the noise We would absolutely recommend this place and we will definitely revisit it next time we are in Skiathos.
The Filia is merely a Pension, meant for only lodging people. It was well kept, the rooms were nice and more spacious than than many places in the islands and had a great full sized shower. It was in a part of Skiathos town that is almost all similar type lodgings so its location was nondescript but it was located close to the center of town at a good price. On the whole we were well satisfied.
Amazing Hotel directly in the town of Skiathos. Our room war very spacious for 3 people and we had a balcony with pool view. The property is extremely quiet and chill even though you are in the middle of the centre. The room was cleaned every day and the staff was always available via phone call if we needed something. Only 5 minutes walk from the port of Skiathos.

The rooms are nice and contain everything you need during your stay. The downstairs rooms have a little terrace outside which is nice.
The hosts were very warm, welcoming, and accommodating.

The apartment was modern and spacious with a fantastic view of Skiathos town and the port. Parking was good . The owners were very friendly and helpful and gave us free ferry tickets to Tsougria beach which I would consider one of the best beaches in Greece

Arrived late at night, very stressed and tired after a long day, I was met and warmly welcomed by kind Valentina.
With one day to spend in Skiathos before traveling on Valentina was a wonderful source of information on how to spend the day.
Although not in the busy centre of the Port Vabel Skiathos was an easy walk to reach it.

Naftilos was in an excellent location, close to the centre of Skiathos town but far enough away to be peaceful! Annie was incredibly accommodating and helpful, allowing us to leave our bags for the day and giving us lots of local recommendations. The room was basic but well equipped and comfortable.
The view from Babis's flat roof is simply wonderful. Skiathos Town is a very beautiful place and Babis must have one of the best accessible views going. There was a free pickup from the airport and both Babis (husband) and wife (Yoti ?) were extremely, genuinely, hospitable and welcoming.

The apartment is very big with a lovely balcony and also has small kitchen hob facilities and a fridge.

Amazing view of the main harbour, quick 5 min ride to town, host were very helpful and gave us a free boat ride to Tsigouria island that was probably one of Greece’s top ten beaches.
