Regis Hotel Spa Very good 8.2 We were close to the shops and able to wander safely in the town.
Porta Hotel del Lago Good 7.6 We loved the location and lake view. We also loved the pool and outdoor patio area with room for children to play.
Hotel Posada de Don Rodrigo Panajachel Good 7.7 The exceptional service and lake view rooms. The restaurant served quality food.
Hotel Villas B'alam Ya Wonderful 9.4 All around fabulous villa, Rosa the housekeeper was most helpful and friendly , enjoyed the breakfast . Going into Pana was easy via tuk tuk , we enjoyed being out of Panajachel .
Hotel El Sol Very good 8.5 The location is a short walk from all the activity and very quiet and clean. Wish we had discovered this place earlier as we would have stayed at least a week. Loved it.
Hotel Rancho Grande Inn Pleasant 6.8 We rented a car to drive into Panajachel. At the bottom of a very steep mountain our brakes failed. We called the hotel and Jiovanni came and rescued us. Helped us to deal with the rental car company and was, all round, a knight in shining armor. The hotel itself was lovely with little cabanas for people to stay in. The breakfast was FANTASTIC.
Hotel Paradise Inn Pleasant 6.3 Nice view, bathroom with hot water
Hotel La Riviera de Atitlan Good 7.8 Right on the lake, good facilities, very comfortable room.
Hotel Tzanjuyu Bay Disappointing 4.6 The young people in charge really tried their best to make us happy. The young man even ran into town to buy ibuprofen for me. The grounds and the view of the lake were nice.
Hotel Posada Chinimaya Very good 8.2 Ten minute walk from both Calle Santander and beach Free breakfast Spacious room
Perla Maya Hotel Good 7.3 they helped us store luggage securely, fed us a solid Guatemalan breakfast, and helped when our transport situation nearly fell through.
Hotel Utz Jay Excellent 8.6
Hotel San Buenaventura de Atitlan Good 7.7 It was great being away from town just a bit, with the nature reserve right next door! The grounds were beautiful, the view amazing, the accommodations perfect for a family!!
Posada Los Encuentros Good 7.9 My room at the Posada was very comfortable and clean, with several nice amenities (TV, fridge, outdoor hammock) and wifi. The continental breakfast was basic (cereal, toast, juice, coffee) but good and filling. The Posada has a very comfortable interior patio as well as inside and outside sitting rooms. It's located ~10-15 minutes away from the busy city center, so it has a more relaxed feel. Host Richard Morgan is very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area and will help you make the most of your time at the lake.
Reserva Natural Atitlan Very good 8.1 There were days I didn't have to leave the reserve. The hiking to the rivers, the waterfalls, challenging zip lines and more makes it the best choice in Panajachel.

    • they helped us store luggage securely, fed us a solid Guatemalan breakfast, and helped when our transport situation nearly fell through.

    • Everything was great, staff was amazing and facilities were good with free wifi, movies, hot tub, kayaks, etc. Only negative was distance to other things. Pana or a nearby larger hotel will cost you $9-$18 US each way, depending on where you want to go. Small price to pay for this amazing place though!

    • Beautiful room with an impressive look of lake Atitlan, beautiful gardens. Hotel 4 kilometer outside Panajachel (close, but not too close) Kayaks to visit the lake are available (not extra-cost). The other personal was very friendly and helpful.

    • Relaxed atmosphere. Mayan sauna, natural hot tub, excellent views. Richard the owner is very knowledgeable about Guatemala and very helpful.

    • We were in the center of everything- shops, restaurants, and a very short walk to the lake. The hotel is set back from the street and is gated at night. The landscaping is lovely and there is a hot tub and a little waterfall to cool off. The rooms themselves were very spacious. Three adults were traveling together and it was very comfortable. There was actually a 4th bed available. There was a full and half bath - very convenient.
