Slatine is a small town where the main road is going very close to the beach. There are not many supermarkets, only one which is uphill. We had to go to Trogir to buy food. Otherwise it's very nice, although it could use a promenade.

This area of Croatia is great!
This area of Croatia is great! You can reach Krka and Plitvice in a few hours. Split is 20 minutes by ferry. Trogir was the most beautiful city to me. The family that own Guesthouse Vakans are very friendly and helpful. They speak English so I had no problem chatting with them. Even watched Joe and his son pick olives one afternoon ! That was fun. Nothing to beat the views! You can see Split at night across the water.

Saltine is a small quiet fishing village.
Saltine is a small quiet fishing village. The frequent boat takes you to Trogir or Split if you want a tourist experience.
In the village are a wide range of restaurants - all of them excellent!
There are also two small supermarkets and plenty of beach bars. The pebble beach extends for miles and the swimming is excellent!

I liked Slatine.
I liked Slatine. It was a beach town but close to Trogir and Split. We drove to Split instead of taking the ferry because the ferry did not have enough options of my liking and parking in Split was easy enough. It was great having the bridge from Trogir and we never encountered any traffic going over the bridge. I thought the restaurants were reasonably priced in the area (a pizza might be around 65kuna, fish would be around 100 kuna). Overall, I though Slatine was nicely placed to see the islands and local cities nearby, yet it also gave the beach town feeling.

Slatine is not big but it has a small grocery store, several cafes, beach eateries etc. The city has narrow streets. The beaches are rocky. The nearest town is Trogir.
From Slatine goes the ship to Split. The price is much better than taxi. It's ~3 euro (25 kuno) per person. And by ship you can get to Split in 30 minutes. Ship goes several times in a day. Last ship from Split to Slatine is at 8 PM.
Spacious apartment with living room that includes a fully equipped kitchen, and a separate bedroom. Bathroom with toilet, shower. Large balcony. Apartment is located in a very quiet residential neighborhood, just 1 minute away from the beach. Small supermarket 5 minutes away as well as a number of restaurants. Ferry to split 5 minutes away. Contact with owner via WhatsApp was very convenient.
In short: if we return to Split area again, we will book the same apartment in Slatine again as it provides all the comfort that is needed.
The apartment is new, well equipped and super nice. Lovely view to the beach and Slatine town. The beach is 2 minutes walk across from the apartment and the town is quiet and peaceful at night. Theres a Tommy supermarket about 200 meters away and the beach bistro restaurant about 150 meters away. Its a perfect location. The host Blanka is the nicest person we've met and made our stay awesome. She's so accommodating and helpful. Thank you once again!!!
Literally everything. Davor is a great hosty welcomed us with a homemade wine and rakija (delicious), was always at disposal. The apartment is new, arranged with care and taste, bed is comfortable, there is air con dishwasher and all you can think of. There is approx 250meters to the small and calm beach. 500m to the marina where you can take a boat to Trogir or Split. It was a great stay. we will definitely come back.
Absolutely wonderful. The host lives on the ground floor and is always available for questions. The apartment has everything you need - and the area (Slatine) is perfect for a family or a couple. It felt like I was staying with family, not a stranger. Cannot recommend more highly!
Spacious, well equipped apartment by the harbour. Close to beaches and restaurants, excellent restaurant below the apartment. Bakery and small grocery shop both within 100m. Breakfast on the balcony overlooking the harbour, perfect. Very kind and helpful host.
Apartment is spacious, well located (close to the beach, restaurants, public transport), well equipped and beds are comfy. Hosts are really friendly and helpful. Nice addition was to receive local fruits, sweets as well as touristic maps and travel guides.

The location is perfect near the rocky beach and blue green water. The hosts are very friendly and nice. The apartment is very clean with all the necessary equipment (ac,washing machine, freezer, etc.). The food in slatine is also very good.
Everything was perfekt. We have beautiful holidays in Slatine. The landlord was really friendly. The Adria was near the apartment and form the pool you have a wonderful view of the adria.
