Hidden Paradise Cottages Very good 8.3 Just love the entire place.,, a real hidden paradise
Coral View Villas Very good 8.3 Balinese design Outdoor bathrooms
Villa Aquamarine Wonderful 9.3 Nice view, private swimming pool facing the sea. Very nice staff and tasty homemade food.
Villa Batu Tangga Wonderful 9.2 Palatial House Stylish and comfortable Great Pool Accommodating staff Heard a whale from the top deck!
Bali Bhuana Beach Cottages Very good 8 The hotel is right on the beach in Amed, and the section it is located on has black sand, not rocks. The coral is close to the shore, so you can go snorkeling right in front of the hotel. The staff was really nice and helpful when it came to arranging side-trips.
Onlyou Villas Very good 8.3 5 steps to the pool! 30 steps to the ocean for some great snorkelling!!!
Good Karma Bungalows Good 7 Everything! Really excellent food available for all three meals a day in the lovely restaurant. Absolutely beautiful traditional individual houses each with mosquito nets they hang for you on arrival, and a hammock they put up on your deck, which is steps from the beach and has a full bed outside with hooks for your mosquito net if you want to sleep outside. (But sleeping inside is more or less like sleeping outside because the windows are huge and open and right by the beds.) Also on the deck are two really comfortable chairs and a coffee table where you'll find a thermos of hot water and cups for sweet tea set out for you by 6:00 am! The beach in front of the bungalows (a misnomer because many have a second floor loft area!) is lined with jukung, the traditional (though now also equipped with outboard motors) salling/fishing boats. Each house has a little outdoor shower made from bamboo (in addition to your private shower in the back of the house) for post-snorkeling and swimming. The house is beautifully made in all natural materials, as is the restaurant. If you happen to wake up between 3:00 and 4:00am you'll see the locals silently taking their boats out in the dark. The boats with their sails up will then dot the horizon for several hours, and they'll come back in around 8:30 bringing fresh fish for your lunch and dinners, bless them! There are lots of local people who have adopted the hotel and who are trustworthy and excellent snorkelling guides who will take you in one of the jukung out to the best (nearby) beach to see coral. They will act as guides and will rent out equipment as needed.
The Griya Villas and Spa Excellent 8.7 The whole experiance was fantastic , we had such a nice time tha staff and management went out of there way to make all have a good time. The spa was great and good value for money. The restarant food was as good as any top class facility I have visited. I would recommend the resort to anyone wanting a top class, enjoyable holiday.
Kembali Beach Bungalows Very good 8.1 Great location good staff good breakfast terrific pool 10 out of 10
Villa Adi Wonderful 9 We selected Villa Adi for our 10 days stay in the Amed region, and this was the lucky strike which made our vacations just perfect. The villa is delightlfull and very well equipped. The garden around is absolutely wonderfull and enjoying the view of it from the patio was the hit from our days. The owners are extremely friendly, and their small team always ready to help you. They also own the shop in front of the proprty where you can all what you need to upgrade your stay (icecreams, beers, fruits, bread, ...) and even change money for a very good rate. Our son was trying to built a toy boat with banana leafs. We asked one of the cleaning guys if he could show him how to achieve it later in the afternoon... When we came back, a wonderfull sail ship was lying on the table of the patio. Just lovely! A lot of fine Balinese restaurants all along the Amed caost. But the best we found ist the "Bali Beer & Grill", 70 meters away (just before the bridge). From outside, it don't look attractive at all. But you have to get down on the side to discover the traditional Balinese dinning huttes where one will serve you a wonderfull local cokking of the finest. Bunutan beach is not well for swiming & snorkling, but you are less than 10 minutes in one direction or the other to the best snorkling spots of the coast. Don't miss also to enjoy the back land of Bunutan. Just drive 3 kilometers in the land and you will discover a wonderfull small village surrounded by rice terraces! A wonderfull stay that the entire family has really enjoyed.
Villa Infinite Horizon Excellent 8.8 This was the highlight of our stay in Bali. A superb space where we had time to relax in wonderful facilities. The view and pool amazing ......we felt as though we were in a world of our own. Staff were most obliging and looked after all our needs. Was great to have a meal cooked if you did not want to venture out at night. Hired scooters as it is too far to walk to snorkelling ,restaurants etc. We did not want to leave this very special place.
Panji Homestay
