  • Really enjoyed our experience at Bali Bhuana Cottages. Rooms were simple but very clean. Snorkelling from lipah bay where cottages are situated is amazing and some days was like being in an aquarium. We hired a great scooter and this was the perfect way to get around the bays. Some really good and affordable restaurants. Would totally recommend the chicken curry from Sama Sama. One of the best we've had! Perfect place to stay if you are looking for a relaxing break.

  • Very friendly staff. Amazing room - probably the nicest we had in Bali (loved the shower room). Great bed. Great views on the sea and volcano. Nice sofa bed outside on the balcony - great to chill. Can rent scooters from hotel.

  • Alur Beach was the best money value hotel we had in Bali. Made, the owner and his staff are always very kind, nice and helpful. We had the front beach room which is new and very clean. In the morning, the delicious breakfast was served by Waya on our private terrace with the view of the sea AND the volcano! The room was directly on the beach, 20 m from the water. In the afternoons, we had a complementary fresh juice served in the terrace and we had tea and coffee available at any time. Really, this place is great and we highly recommend it!

  • Bila Bungalows is a great divers hotel...this little place has everything you need, awesome breakfast, great food overall, nice clean rooms, comfy beds, cold beer, world class incredible diving within walking distance or short boat ride, beautiful tropical setting...and Olive and the staff will do everything they can to make your stay the best it can be...this is a great spot to fit in some diving on your Bali vacation! also recommend the day trip to the Water Palace...

  • Small intimate hotel, perfect perfect setting right on the beach. Staff accommodating. Restaurant was ok and there were a few other choices in walking distance. Perfect place to relax and unwind. Loved the place and will definitely stay again. Bali's best kept secret - hope it stays that way for a long time to come!

Hidden Paradise Cottages Very good 8.3 Great staff, great food, right next to the beach. The most tranquil place during our stay in Bali. Our first impression wasn't very good, but after a while we found out that the accommodation is high above average (at least in Amed).
Coral View Villas Very good 8.3 I loved our bungalow...beautifully done. I loved the location, the staff, the snorkelling, the eating places near by. It was fun:) Rachel
Villa Aquamarine Wonderful 9.2 Nice view, private swimming pool facing the sea. Very nice staff and tasty homemade food.
Puri Wirata Dive Resort and Spa Amed Very good 8 I had my own private balcony, 4 poster bed, great views, goo movies on TV, and great staff who took me trekking up mount Lipah
Bali Dream House Excellent 8.6 We had a lovely garden view, and our room was beautiful. The staff is attentive and takes good care of the guests. The infinity pool was perfect for cooling off in the afternoons. The location is good - easy access to town and also plenty of options for eating across the street and down the road in either direction.
Bali Bhuana Beach Cottages Very good 8 I love the staff , always there to help room was always so clean , the location was wonderful, everything was just a few steps away .
Solaluna Beach Homestay Exceptional 9.5 Very nice bungalow at perfect location directly on the beach! (Best accomodation we had in Bali) Good Breakfast on your own little porch
Good Karma Bungalows Good 7 Everything! Really excellent food available for all three meals a day in the lovely restaurant. Absolutely beautiful traditional individual houses each with mosquito nets they hang for you on arrival, and a hammock they put up on your deck, which is steps from the beach and has a full bed outside with hooks for your mosquito net if you want to sleep outside. (But sleeping inside is more or less like sleeping outside because the windows are huge and open and right by the beds.) Also on the deck are two really comfortable chairs and a coffee table where you'll find a thermos of hot water and cups for sweet tea set out for you by 6:00 am! The beach in front of the bungalows (a misnomer because many have a second floor loft area!) is lined with jukung, the traditional (though now also equipped with outboard motors) salling/fishing boats. Each house has a little outdoor shower made from bamboo (in addition to your private shower in the back of the house) for post-snorkeling and swimming. The house is beautifully made in all natural materials, as is the restaurant. If you happen to wake up between 3:00 and 4:00am you'll see the locals silently taking their boats out in the dark. The boats with their sails up will then dot the horizon for several hours, and they'll come back in around 8:30 bringing fresh fish for your lunch and dinners, bless them! There are lots of local people who have adopted the hotel and who are trustworthy and excellent snorkelling guides who will take you in one of the jukung out to the best (nearby) beach to see coral. They will act as guides and will rent out equipment as needed.
Kawikarma Bungalow Good 7.7 The lodge is so lovely place. Very spacious, comfort bed, second bathroom, and great view from the balcony! There are 4 lodges, all oceanfront, and many fishing boats are placed at the shore. Every morning, fishermen got out to the ocean on the boat and we loved the view of that. People are very friendly, relaxed, and helpful. The food is very nice. We stayed there for three nights and we mostly ate at the lodge restaurant. (we tried other places a few times, but we found our lodge kitchen is much better, so decided to eat there as much as possible!) We can see Japanese shipwreck by snorkeling just a few meters away from the beach. Thank you for the lovely time, we want to thank all the staff of the lodge. Definitely we recommend this lodge to everybody!! Kaori and Justin
Baliku Dive Resort Very good 8.5 Absolutely everything. Great stuff. Great views. Comfy room. Good food.
Kembali Beach Bungalows Very good 8.1 Everything was tidy and clean. The bungalow we had was at the beachfront. Everything was lovely decorated. The pool area is nice and has a lot of sunloungers. The staff was very helpfull and we really enjoyed our stay. Absolutely recommended if you search for a quiet romatic place.
Villa Infinite Horizon Excellent 8.9 The view across the water, watching the sails of the fishing boats as they returned each morning and afternoon, was something we never tired of, whether sitting on the terrace or by the good-sized horizon pool, with Ketut proving beautiful food and drinks. This villa was good value for money, perhaps being cheaper because it was towards the end of the Amed villages and therefore too far to easily walk to the beaches with great snorkelling extremely close to the beach. We hired a scooter very close to the villa to visit these beaches.
Panji Homestay
Lily Amed Beach Bungalows Excellent 8.7 Perfect location on the beach, the whole eco-friendly concept was much appreciated, the owner "Shai" was fantasctic and very helpful!!
