Coral View Villas Very good 8.4 Balinese design Outdoor bathrooms
Villa Aquamarine Wonderful 9.2 Great stay Wonderfull meals Sudi is a great caretaker Beautiful views Great Pool Dinners and breakfast served on terrace
Double One Villas Good 7.4 I loved Amed - so quiet after the craziness of the south. The snorkelling was excellent right in front of the hotel or there was a lovely man on the beach who would take you on his motorbike to other beaches or arrange a fishing boat to take you to the Jpanese wreck. Our villa was lovely with a beautiful view and the little pool at the waterfront was perfect
Apa Kabar Villas, Amed Very good 8.2
Bukit Indah Homestay, Amed Good 7.5 The couple who run the place are amazing. Our flight was really late and they waited up for us to make sure we could get in. They made sure we had everything we needed for our visit. One morning we were scheduled for an early morning dive, the couple went out of their way to make sure we had some food to take with us because we were leaving before breakfast.
Sinar Bali 2 Excellent 8.6 Ocean views easiness for 3 nights fishing-snorkelling, motorbike transfers and best always smiles Would come back next time for 10 days at least.... Better than Legian, Samyniack locations.
Good Karma Bungalows, Amed Pleasant 6.9 Everything! Really excellent food available for all three meals a day in the lovely restaurant. Absolutely beautiful traditional individual houses each with mosquito nets they hang for you on arrival, and a hammock they put up on your deck, which is steps from the beach and has a full bed outside with hooks for your mosquito net if you want to sleep outside. (But sleeping inside is more or less like sleeping outside because the windows are huge and open and right by the beds.) Also on the deck are two really comfortable chairs and a coffee table where you'll find a thermos of hot water and cups for sweet tea set out for you by 6:00 am! The beach in front of the bungalows (a misnomer because many have a second floor loft area!) is lined with jukung, the traditional (though now also equipped with outboard motors) salling/fishing boats. Each house has a little outdoor shower made from bamboo (in addition to your private shower in the back of the house) for post-snorkeling and swimming. The house is beautifully made in all natural materials, as is the restaurant. If you happen to wake up between 3:00 and 4:00am you'll see the locals silently taking their boats out in the dark. The boats with their sails up will then dot the horizon for several hours, and they'll come back in around 8:30 bringing fresh fish for your lunch and dinners, bless them! There are lots of local people who have adopted the hotel and who are trustworthy and excellent snorkelling guides who will take you in one of the jukung out to the best (nearby) beach to see coral. They will act as guides and will rent out equipment as needed.
The Griya Villas and Spa, Amed Excellent 8.6 The private pool was amazing. Good food and a wonderful view (sunset and sunrise). Very friendly staff.
Kembali Beach Bungalows Very good 8.3 Great location good staff good breakfast terrific pool 10 out of 10
Depotrek Villas Excellent 8.6 We had our room next to the street, usually you have not your room next to the street, but it was not to noisy. We slept very well. The hotel is located next to the beach. The pool is very little, but it is really ok. The breakfast was quiet good. We had hot water and A/C and wifi worked very well. The staff was very nice and sooo helpful. The room was clean. We can really recommend this place.
Aquaterrace Amed Excellent 8.8 Everything. Aquaterrace has only 3 rooms, all facing the sea. The view is amazing. You can see the sunrise from the bed or from the terrace. The design is simple, rustic with a modern touch, and the room is tastefully decorated. The room is spacious and has all that you could need. The shower is spectacular, with a window also facing the sea. The toiletries are of good quality. The bistro downstairs is very good, every dish we ordered was delicious. I especially loved the frozen fruit juice. The staff is available and friendly and they are flexible trying to solve the guests' requests. And sometimes, if necessary, the owner gives a hand. The pool is small, but good enough for a lazy afternoon or when the sea is too rough. The spa is cosy and nice. They have some intriguing massages, such as a treatment for sunburns and a massage for headaches. Aquaterrace is located in a not so crowded area, so you have silence. If needed, they provide car or scooter transportation to the more crowded areas.
Eka Purnama Cottages, Amed Good 7.2 Gorgeous location. Lovely views. Very quiet. Massage treatments were incredible - and that was after the cooks (who are also the masseuses) had finished cooking dinner.
Villa Bukit Segara Exceptional 9.6 Everthing. This the perfect place for peace & tranquility. We were so relaxed & content we did not feel the need to leave the villa. Exceptional staff & service. Just loved it. Amed is very special place but would not suit all travellers
Panji Homestay, Amed
Fun Divers Resort Very good 8.1 Location, Cleanliness, Friendly staff, banana pancakes for breakfast was awesome
