Padi Ecolodge, hotel in Maninjau

Situated in Bukittinggi, 1.6 km from Gadang Clock Tower, Padi Ecolodge features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a restaurant.

The location and the buildings are gorgeous, with traditional minangkabau architecture set in a rice paddy. At night, you can hear the frogs - it feels like you're deep in the forest! The beds are comfortable and the room is light and airy. The food at the café is also "sedap", with freshly cooked breakfast. Staff were very helpful in organising activities and transport.

RedDoorz Syariah near Jam Gadang Bukittinggi 2, hotel in Maninjau

Situated in Bukittinggi, 600 metres from Hatta Palace, RedDoorz Syariah near Jam Gadang Bukittinggi 2 features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking.

The location is great, but since it is a budget accommodation, don't expect anything fancy. Apart from the weak wifi signal in our room, the stay was quite good.

The Lake is beautiful and peaceful.

The Lake is beautiful and peaceful. Plenty to do if you are thinking of staying a few days from hikes in to the jungle, watching locals fishing and going about their daily lives, ride around the shore of the lake, along with excursions "outside" to see local villages and farmlands, the rafflesia flower, and 'unique coffee" tasting.
