When we arrived at the property the instructions to get into the place weren't clear or apparent. I called the owner. He was quite rude told me to walk around the back of the property and then hung up the call. When we did get in the room in its self was substandard with old, damaged and marked furniture. The apartment was overall fusty smelling and dirty. We followed the instructions for the internet. It did not work, so neither did any of the channels on the TV as it was smart. All of which were included in the list of facilities offered when booking the apartment. When I called the owner about this, his attitude was condescending and intimidating. He told me that I shouldn't be complaining as all of the said issues were fine with previous and current clients. I explained that I wasn't complaining but asking for advice. Again he hung up on me. When we went to shower there was no hot water. There is nothing near to the apartment either. The city is 19 kilometres away. When we finally got to bed there was banging and shouting from the adjoined apartment into the earlier hours. The following morning my husband and I decided to leave. It was not fit for purpose. I emailed the owner explaining this and requested a refund for the night that we weren't staying. I also told him about us making a video of the apartment to show the unacceptable standard of the apartment. Also that we had asked a neighbour to witness this to verify that we had not created this. He refused. Sending me the following email SELF CHECK OUT: Tuesday 15 August 2023 11:30 Before 12noon. 🛑Please drop the KEY back to where you took them - SAFE BOX 🛑 NOTE: It’s not all about spending so much money to just sleep, it’s a simple place to lay your head otherwise Hotels are available for €300 per Night. Have a Safe trip! The whole experience was very upsetting and stressful. We did book into a hotel. I would advise anyone considering to stay here to give it a wide birth.

Cleanliness of the room and facilities were excellent.

Cleanliness of the room and facilities were excellent. The staff were very friendly. Our room was nice and quiet. We were easily able to walk into Dunboyne which is a delightful little town. We had diner one evening at Shivens (I think that was what it was called), the food was great. They had live music and the singers was amazing. We will definitely go again.

MY WIFE AND I BOOKED TWO NIGHTS AT DUBLIN DUNBOTNE CASTLE...

MY WIFE AND I BOOKED TWO NIGHTS AT DUBLIN DUNBOTNE CASTLE GUEST-SUPER KING ENSUITE BUT WE WERE ALLOCATED 'A DOUBLE ROOM' WITH SHARED TOILET AND BATHROOM INSTEAD OF SUPER KING ENSUITE. WE PAID EURO 256.50 FOR THE SMALL ROOM THAT WE WERE SQUASHED IN THE TWO OF US. WE ASKED BOOKING.COM TO CONTACT THE OWNER ABOUT THE WRONG ROOM GIVEN BUT WE WERE TOLD HE WAS VERY RUDE, VERY UNPROFFESIONAL, VERY UNHELPFUL AND NOT WILLING TO GIVE A REFUND OR EVEN OFFER COMPENSATION FOR THEIR ERROR. THE PLACE IS A BLOCK OF FLATS WHERE THE ROOMS WERE MADE INTO BOOKING ROOMS. IF YOU DONT DRIVE THE PLACE IF A BIT FAR FROM THE SHOPS TO WALK EVERYDAY. ITS NOT VALUE FOR MONEY. IF YOU EAT FOOD AND EVEN BUY FRUITS YOU HAVE TO WASH THEM AND HANDS AND COFFEE MUGS IN THE SHARED TOILET AND BATHROOM WHICH WAS VERY DISGUSTING DURING COVID 19. THEY MUST CALL IT STUDENTS BOOKING ROOMS NOT DUBLIN DUNBOYNE CASTLE GUEST-SUPER KING ENSUITE. ITS TOO TOO EXPENSIVE FOR THE PRICE AND TOO SMALL THE ROOM 3 WE STAYED IN. WE WERE VERY UNHAPPY AND FELT CHEATED OF OUR EURO 256.50 FOR TWO NIGHTS. WE STILL DEMAND OUR FULL REFUND !!! THIS SPOILED OUR STAY IN DUNBOYNE A VERY BEAUTIFUL CITY.

I loved everything about the hotel, the rooms were immaculate and you can connect you phone to the chrome cast in the TV so you’ll be able to watch whatever you’d like. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. We also got a massage in the spa and it was amazing, the masseuse (Bruno) was extremely friendly and made me feel very comfortable. The hydro therapy pool, sauna, steam room and outside jacuzzi feels like a bonus along with your massage!! 😁

The food in both the Ivy and Terrace bar is superb. Highly recommend using the Seoid Spa and having a few treatments especially the body scrub and Anti-stress massage. Rooms are very clean, comfortable and have a bath and separate shower cubicle. Nice quality toiletries. The staff are absolutely exceptional and will make you feel totally pampered and cared for. I would highly recommend this hotel.

It was nice, self check in, very comfortable bed and big and a huege TV with Netflix what more could you ask for. Everything was very clean and the room and bathroom were lovley better than what they look like in the pictures. You've your own private entrance and everything. And great for the price. Better than most hotels.

Front desk Staff were very accommodating. Restaurant and Bar Staff were limited and all fairly new and in training. With such limited staff they were as attentive as could be. But very sweet. The rooms were very nice with great views of beautiful lawn and gardens. Loved the small town of Dunboyne!

Great facilities in general, hotel was clean throughout. Breakfast was good and plenty of it. Had dinner in the bar and it was tasty. The lunch and snacks provided for the conference I was attending were great. My bedroom was spacious, very clean and quiet. Bed was comfy and I had a great sleep.

Once we informed the hotel reception staff about our treatment from staff at the spa they couldn't have been more helpful and sent 2 bottles of prosecco to our room. The terrace bar staff were so friendly and food and cocktails were lovely. Room was airy and comfortable.
