Myself and my son had a wonderful stay at Lavelles. The family were all so welcoming and looked after us like we were one of their own! The local beach is a must see and Mickeys bar is fab!

    Keel is a charming beach town with a laid back vibe. We lived exploring the island and learning more about the history. The abandoned village and the Neolithic court and passage tombs nearby are totally worth a visit!

    amazing stay in a lovely cottage in the most stunning of locations, highly recommend!! We stayed 3 nights but could have stayed longer. Brought our dog who had an absolute ball on the beaches! Stunning island, will defo be back soon.. book this cottage!

    Keel is a beautiful place on Achill Island with amazing beaches stunning views peace & tranquility. The people are very hospitable & friendly. Lovely bar resturant Amesthyst where we dined and had the most delicious meal & drinks. Plenty coffee food trucks and lovely cafe called the Beehive. These were all within walking distance of where we stayed. You can easily cycle or drive around Keel & Achill Island. If you like sheep & baby lambs you won’t be dissapointed they are all over the island 🙂Keem beach is a few miles from Keel and we’ll worth a visit. It’s a little piece of heaven with amazing views aqua sea and golden sand.

    The scenery was unbelievably beautiful.

    The scenery was unbelievably beautiful. I felt as though I were on another planet. The free range sheep are everywhere, so drive slowly. They ran right up to my car. There were several viewing points and benches. I wish I had planned more time during nicer weather, the hiking would be fabulous.

    Stunning beach and landscape (glorious weather helped!) and good range of pop up beach food places as well as decent selection of restaurants - Amethyst pub highly recommended running two sittings in season.

    We were beyond impressed with the place.The owners met us on arrival and complied 100% with covid regulations We were shown to our suite The place was impeccable, Breakfast next morning was above 5 star.. Service was efficient and personal to a most impressive level. We were served tea and coffee in the garden after breakfast, which was most appreciated, giving us relaxation time on fabulous sun loungers. We had an evening meal , which was un-describable The food was superb, cooked to perfection. We had an amazing stay Will we return ??? YES. DEFINITELY 👍

    The location was great! Just a 5 min walk to the pubs in Keel. Sheila was a great host, so friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely breakfast (including home-made jelly) and a beautiful view of Mionnán from our window. Would recommend!

    We felt at home the minute we arrived, the hosts were very accommodating allowing us to dry wet gear on their clothes line, breakfast bars in the room that kept us going until lunch. Great location in between Keel and Keem beaches.

    The location of this property is fantastic. It is a stone's throw away from Keel beach. It is right beside the Amethyst pub and the Beehive cafe. Keem bay is a short drive away. I couldn't recommend this higher.
