Poor service, understaffed and slow. Room was grubby with bird droppings all over the window, There was a hole in the carpet in my room. The breakfast was poor, soggy hash browns and cheap produce . Drinks are very expensive and the hotel is in serious need of a makeover. It is a real shame because it has the potential to be a great hotel.

Good location - you can get to the city centre easily in approx. 30 minutes but avoid the hustle & bustle. It's lovely to sit at the end of the day either in the restaurant or outside on the terrace with the beautiful view of Dublin Bay with a meal or a drink & maybe finish off the day with a lovely walk along the beach. You can get a bus outside the door that will take you to Howth with it's lovely harbour, cafes, restaurants & the beautiful cliff walks.

Stay away from this hotel!
Stay away from this hotel! We only stayed one night thank goodness on our way back to airport and last night in Dublin. Thought we would have a quiet stay near the ocean. The hotel had booked a wedding party that had taken over all the space in the hotel. There was no restaurant as advertised, they are not within walking distance of anywhere else to eat. So the only thing available is the bar . The bar was packed with the wedding party and one bartender. I couldnt even order a drink at the bar as I couldnt get his attention. We finally found a dirty table to sit at and sat there for 2 hours with not one staff member offering us anything or to even clean the table. We finally complained to the front desk who found us someone to take our food order , after we ate we never saw them again. The room faced the courtyard which was bright and loud with the wedding but if we shut the curtains we got no air at all as there is no AC and not even a fan. The windows are filthy and the gate to beach overgrown with weeds. To top it off in the morning they included breakfast as we were leaving we went down as soon as they opened. We were the only guests in the place but they wouldnt let us sit near a window to enjoy the view as it was reserved for the wedding party. No one else even came in the place while we were there!

The hotel is at Sutton Cross which has a couple of coffee shops, supermarket, hairdressers & a few shops.
You can take a bus into the centre of Dublin or to Howth with harbour, coffee shops, restaurants & lovely cliff walks.
Sutton is a very safe area, there's plenty of parking, the railway station takes you into the ciry centre with access to trains all over Ireland.

Wee were at a Wedding here. It was absolutely fabulous.
Wee were at a Wedding here. It was absolutely fabulous. After 1.5 HR wait to get my room wee weren't getting in to r room to after 5. Absolutely madness. The Beautiful Lady Connie who works there deserves a medal. Seemed to be the only 1 who new what she was doing. She was delightful.
The breakfast was lovely. The problems were the long wait to get to our room. The key not working a few times. And the moulded shower. Toilet not working properly. And the dated decor....

Lovely area within a short reach by DART of Dublin centre.
Lovely area within a short reach by DART of Dublin centre. Short walk to Burrow beach which is definitely worth checking out. On a hot day it’s literally like the Copa Cabana. Full of Brazilians and Dubliners!
Great coastal walks around the area.
Seafood on Howth quay is amazing. Lots of local catch and an amazing array of cuisines.
I keep coming back when in Dublin.
It was such a beautiful location on the beach. Our room overlooking the ocean was very comfortable. The room was very quiet too. Every staff member we met was super nice and helpful. Breakfast was very delicious with lots to choose from. Fresh flowers through out the hotel were so pretty. We enjoyed walking on the beach, picking up shells and seeing the sea lions in the distance. Grocery store, bank, church and a couple of restaurants within a short walking distance.
We were booked for 5 nights and weren't entirely happy with the room we were given at check-in. However, having just flown in we were too tired to debate the issue. After getting some rest we inquired at the front desk and our room was immediately changed to a larger more comfortable suite. The bar, although not "hopping" offered a quite spot to relax and enjoy a pint. Breakfast was a delight. The hotel is a short walk to the trains. We would definitely stay again.
The location was phenominal, especially being able to walk to the beautiful beach for a peaceful time on a bench. Getting to the Howth pier was easy by bus stop right outside. Groceries across the street. Train walking distance or bus to Dublin city.
The breakfast included and amazing also!
The day we arrived we were treated so kindly and they got in a room quickly although arrived so very early. We were so grateful.
Friendly staff on arrival for check in, lovely view at the back of the hotel, and if booking a room highly recommend one of these. There are 2 restaurants there but one closed, food being served in the main dining area and was very tasty and generous portions, also good choice for breakfast. Bed very comfortable.
Jane on reception was the most friendly, chearful and helpful receptionist I have ever come across in many years of staying at hotels all over the world for both business and leisure. Executive seaview room was modern and clean. Bed comfortable and excellent shower.
The hotel has a great location, we were able to get to Howth and back easily by dart or car. The room and views were great and the staff were very welcoming. Booking required for leisure facilities but this meant that the pool and sauna were quiet which was nice.
Great location and very handy for the DART into Dublin or walking around Howth. A spacious car park. A fabulous room and ensuite, and I felt that paying extra for a sea view was justified. A really good breakfast.
THE HOTEL DESERVES MORE THAN 3 STARS!
Rebeka is a very warm and welcoming host. The room was spacious and comfortable with magnificent views. We had a fabulous stay and look forward to our return visit.
The location was very good. It was easy access to Dublin via rail and the area was good for dining outside of the crowds of the city.
The staff was very attentive to all of our request.
Hosts were super nice, breakfast was great, the house is beautiful and it's a super quiet neighborhood with easy public transit access to either Dublin downtown or Howth
We loved the hotel and the staff were very friendly. Lovely food too. We can't fault any aspect of our stay. It was lovely. We had a deadly view from room 145. Savage.
