A good, quiet place suitable for a short vacation.
A good, quiet place suitable for a short vacation. Overall a good experience for the value. A few glitches in the spa - mainly in the support service. So, for example, it is written in the guest information that the spa is open from 7:30, but the receptionist at the spa at 8:00 refused to register us for treatment, the phone to the spa was not answered, but the other things made up for it. The reception staff and the dining room staff are attentive and helpful. The significant advantage - beach - is well maintained

It is a modest accommodation on the south part of Dead Sea.
It is a modest accommodation on the south part of Dead Sea. It has outside area good for breakfast, for barbeque. One room has kitchen and double bed, the other room has multiple beds.
The hostes Nadia was very friendly and helpful. When we came after the long drive, she met us with dish full of cold melon and watermelon, in the refrigigirator was little cartoon of milk and 2 bottles of water, on the table was pakage with cookies. We did not use it, but kitched was equiped with useful stuff like solt, olive oil and such.
There is no food shoping close by, so the closest eating place must be in Ein Bokek.

This area is of incredible beauty and even after 35 years of visiting the places I admire this special location, especially to recommend is a hike to Nahal David, tours in the desert and don't forget : Masada !
The biggest negative part, for Europeans especially : you might be shocked by the behavior in the hotels of some Israeli's but mostly of their cousins. They destroy the breakfast buffet in a blink of an eye, come with plastic bags and boxes (even cool boxes!! ) and take out food as much as possible to take home. Sometimes they pick nick in the lobby and hotel managements are desperate and do not have any solution how to stop this behavior.
Its getting worse year by year !!!

Convenient to get around Neve Zohar, yet also convenient to the main Beach by the Dead Sea Mall and other shops.
We ate mostly in our room but on the last night went to the Leonardo Hotel for a meat buffet which was excellent!

The hotel has everything one needs.
The hotel has everything one needs. No need to get in the car and go anywhere. The private beach, the outdoor swimming pool and the heated indoor pool with water from the Dead Sea.
The food was excellent with a great variety. The dining room staff very helpful and efficient.
Highly recommend staying at Herod's Dead Sea - good value for your money and a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere.

This is a tiny village without any infrastructure.
This is a tiny village without any infrastructure. It's obvious that they are in the process of building new roads, new housing, and improving the beach, but right now, it's NOT a place for vacation.
The room we stayed in was lovely and clean, a really comfortable bed and a nice newly renovated bathroom, host was also very friendly and quick to respond to our messages. The location is nice but obviously not next to the main beaches there, there are regular buses (5-10 mins journey) or about a 1 hour walk to Ein Bokek, of course the point of staying in Neve Zohar is for cheaper accommodation as long as you're happy to travel to the main beaches/restaurants/shops etc, it was a great deal for us!
Great spotless apartment, very friendly and welcoming hosts. A request we had was taken care of within minutes. This is a lovely place to stay at the Dead Sea and a great alternative to Ein Bokek hotels. Preferably for travellers by car - for the next beach facilities you need a small ride direction Ein Bokek. You can see how the area is developing - this looks really promising for the future.
We have some dietary needs and rather than staying at a fancy hotel we appreciated a stovetop and the kitchen to satisfy those needs. We appreciated that there was a little candy in the room, complementary bottled water and he asked if we'd like a complementary bottle of wine. He was generous that way. There was a private patio with nice places to sit. A beautiful beach was a short drive away.
The place is away from the the big hotels of Ein Bokek, and because of that very quiet. Ideal for relaxing.
The apartment was very clean and nicely decorated. The kitchenette was equipped with everything we needed.
There is a private terrace right in front of the apartment.
The place is also a good starting point for a trip to Ein Gedi or Masada.
The food was delicious, especially on Yom Kippur evening. On Friday and Saturday it was a little less tasty, but it was varied. The place is kept clean and the housekeeping service is good. Staff gave explanations and were available.
We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights, almost 4 days.
Quiet location, close to the Dead Sea. The room was comfortable, clean and worked well for our one night stay. Although there aren't many restaurants or amenities within Neve Zohar, it is only a short drive away from more significant towns with a lot more options.
A great hotel a the beach,.. Huge indoor and outdoor swimming pool. Wellness area with Sauna and jacuzzi. Great beach with direct access to the dead sea. Breakfast buffet was marcellus, really a great choice of food.
The hotel provided refreshments at arrival. It was quite hectic and busy at check-in time but the staff used a roped off area to keep the line, provided cold drinks and were very friendly (especially Nicholas.)
Breakfast was OK. Shuttle regularly to the Dead Sea special areas for swimming is also a plus. Bar staff was the only one in a human level, prices are affordable as well if compared to overall Israel.
Clean room, comfortable beds.
Can park right outside the door. Lockable outer gate makes you feel secure. Location was outside of the main part of Neve Zohar so it was nice.
A/C worked very well.
well we got upgraded. so its easy for us to speak, but the hotel’s stuff (not the receptionists) were so kind, so nice. the foooddd was rich and tasty and the spa is really a diamond in the hotel
Location, easy parking, quietness, host hospitality, nice presents upon arrival, close proximity to a great beach (I don't like big hotels and their all-you-can-eat approach).
Clean and comfortable, good facility. 100m from the dead see. Located near many hotels beach bat far enough to be quiet and private. Cold beer and cookies on the fridge.
Brand new. Facilitiers provided by owner excellent. Very short distance to 5 star hotel and only a few kilometers further to small shoipping mall with everything
The room and the bathroom were very big, the hotel was built recently and it was very clean.
Mrs. Eti and Mr. Nissam (the owners) were very kind and helpful.
