We liked the size of the room and the view from the terace.
We liked the size of the room and the view from the terace. There was a refresment waiting for us (coffe, juice, water, small cake). Room was clean, nice smell. But we spent there a night in January and the heating was not working. I wanted to reheat by warm shower, but there was not enought hot water to even wash my hair. I was frozen and catch a cold over the night. The bed was very noisy with each small move. The window was oposite to a building, very dark inside. All I will remember is dark and cold room. Shell I add how long we were looking for a place to park the car in those tiny streets?

We spent two nights here in winter, which was enough. The temples took a full day, give them time. Lots to see in the old town with plenty exercise climbing all the steps.
Lots of great bars and restaurants.

We visited here because we wanted to see the Valley of Temples. We ended up adding a day to our visit to explore the city and relax at Villa Athena Resort, which is really near the archelogical site.
Agrigento has many great restaurants and patisseries to help you increase your waistline. Many shops to buy nice clothes and jewelry on the main street Via Atena.
Also just a few minute drive to the beach, which offers lots of parking and restaurants.

We loved the old town with narrow streets and many intimate piazza’s. We found it a bit difficult accessing and using public transport so we walked everywhere. Everything of archeological interest was quite close, the churches were beautiful but a little more subdued than most. The food was delicious, our air bnb host was excellent. It wasn’t difficult to park the car free as well.

We visited Agrigento to see the valley of the Temples and we were not disappointed. We visiting in our own car and so concerned about parking. Parking at the valley was easy with lots of room and a machine which accepted cash and cards to pay for the parking, which was not expensive. Pay the 6 Euros to get a hand held guide in your own language, it tells you everything about each temple and the ancient Greek city (Akragas).
You can see the whole site in a day.

Valley of the Temples is obviously THE big drawcard, but after that I would also do the tour of the almost 1,000 year old Cattedrale di San Gerlando, walk up with tower for great views back over Valley of the Temples and then onto the close by Chiesa di Santa Maria dei Greci (included with Cattedrale price) to look into the crypts below through the glass floor of the church. So much history in the one location!
It was by far the best place we stayed during our two weeks trip through Sicily, and also the least expensive. The location, facilities, breakfast... everything was exceptional. The rooms are very nice and remarkably clean. But what certainly makes this accomodation beyond superb is the dedicated way in which Fabio and Sandro run their place: they put thought and effort into every detail, something which really makes de difference for the guests. We are very much looking forward to staying here again.
It was a gorgeous family-run property with fabulous pool and gardens. The breakfast was really, really good- satisfied a 6ft 1’ 16 year old boy, 21yo girl and us. Yoghurt, fresh fruit, condiments, loads of different sweet pastries and panini’s, omelette and of course, capuccino, macchiato, hot choc etc. Gian Carlo is the king - awesome owner. Gave us a fabulous restaurant suggestion, which turned out to be one of oyr best in Sicily. Plus, it is 4 minutes to Valley of the Temples… super close.
The staff were so nice and upon arrival explained to us the hotel and the city. The rooms were extremely clean and spacious with an amazing view of the city and the valley. The location was a short walk away from the Main Street in downtown so the location was perfect. We were spoiled in the morning with the breakfast spread prepared in front of us by the hosts. The absolute nicest B&B I’ve stayed at in Sicily and no competition best breakfast I’ve had on the island! I WILL be coming back!
Gorgeous ultra modern apartment right in the center of Agrigento. One of the most deluxe places we have stayed. Our host left us well supplied with breakfast goodies, and even a package of fresh cookies (pasties). She was very thoughtful. She met us promptly when we arrived and helped us park. We were provided a detailed list of things to do and places to go in Agrigento. This was very helpful. This is one of the best places we have ever stayed in our Booking.com travels.
It's a small farm/vineyard, where you can get a new view to countryside of Sicily. It's very cozy, very local, nice for kids. Unbelievable dinner, the best caponata I ate in Sicily. They even have a degustation menu for kids. And of course their own wine.
The quest to get to the farm is also a journey :) just follow their direction they text you on whatsapp and you get there.
And very very friendly owners
Krysos Luxury Rooms were our best stay in Sicily, by far. Andrea is taking care of every single detail to make his guests feel comfortable. He helped us with the parking, he gave us very useful information about where to park for visiting sites, and also good recommendations for restaurants. The apartment was spotless clean, well appointed, quiet, and it looks better in reality compared with the pictures.
Exceptional setting in the hills around Agrigento. Many details in the estate to creaty a comfty and cosy atmosphere.
Fantastic hosts who make the visitors feel like personal guests.
The best breakfast I have ever had in Sicily - or Italy for that matter.
The list can go on and on, but I will run our of superlatives before I can mention everything, so I just want to say a big THANK YOU!
We’ve found everyone in Sicily very friendly, and that includes everyone at all the hotels we’ve stayed at, but the welcome at Giafra still stands out. Friendly, helpful, generous and generally lovely. And the place is very comfortable and smart, well-appointed, with excellent breakfasts (with beautifully decorated cappuccinos). We’d stay there again very happily, and hope we will.
Location was fantastic, you can easily find free parking spots in the same area during weekends, and enjoy the city on foot. The central station is walking distance and from there you can take a direct bus to the wonderful Valley of Temples. Facilities have great potential, highly recommend the shower with chromo-therapy option in both Sicily Room and Giraffe Room!
Everything, just an awesome little boutique hotel!
Recently built, modernly apportioned, comfortable, all the amenities you could ask for but most importantly family owned and managed. Salvatore and his wife were phenomenal hosts, full of enthusiasm for their little hotel and Sicily as a whole.
You ll enjoy your stay!
This was one of the nicest hotels we stayed in Sicily. The room is beautiful, spacious and done with very good taste. Our host Rosanna was just amazing! She is very communicative and helpful and has a lot of good tips on the surrounding area. She also prepared an amazing breakfast for us. We would love to visit again.
My favorite B&B during our trip in Sicily. Fantastic host who spoke English very well. Very attentative! Gave us detailed information about where to go in Agrigento in the evening we were there. Breakfast was more than we could eat. And of course the room was spacious, clean, modern and just full of atmosphere.
It was new, stylish, clean, comfortable, very friendly staff, good breakfast
One of the best value for price ratio in a hotel
Wish i could have stayed longer
It was perfect location in agrigento, especially for a 1 day trip to see the valley of temples
10/10 go stay in this hotel and you will be happy
Beautiful view, great location, very clean, quiet and comfortable. Nice variety and delicious breakfast. The owner gave us a tour with the history of the property. Try the oranges!!! Grown on the property and freshly squeezed for juice. The most delicious we have had in Sicily!!!
spacious room, clean, comfortable, great location and can drive to the front of the B&B, with parking right there. Most importantly, the hosts are outstanding, making the stay so enjoyable and THE BEST BREAKFAST IN SICILY; incredible.
Wonderful place full of atmosphere located in the middle of the old town. The rooms are quiet and warm or cozy. Elvira is so kind in helping out with information and suggestions. On of the best places I’ve been here in Sicily
This place is the best among the five places we stayed when we visited Sicily. It is outside the city, but very convenient to the road and the archaeology parks.
The breakfast is healthy and awesome!
central location, felt home from the moment we arrived, best breakfast during our road trip through Sicily, we even got a little lunch pack for our trip to the valley of the temples.
