Our hotel was placed in between Mascali and Riposto.
Our hotel was placed in between Mascali and Riposto. We never went to Mascali but to Riposto.
It’s old and run down.
Whole town appears to close for siesta - check times before visiting.
There is a faded charm to the town and a good long beach with some decent restaurants.
Amazing views of Etna - it’s so close we had ash settle on our clothes while sitting outside.

A dead town without taxis, without shops.
A dead town without taxis, without shops. Only two small mini markets, everything else closed (pharmacy, butcher). The city is probably only for summer guests. But the sea is beautiful and clean. Great LIDO PALM BEACH that I recommend.

A lovely place and a good location for travelling to to many towns in the East Coast of Sicily if you had a car. The views of Mount Etna were stunning and the beaches very pretty and well maintained.

There is a peble beach - a free one and also some beach resorts (umbrella with two deck-chairs for 14 Euro a day). Water is quite deep near the coast. Keep attention when are bigger waves and meduse.
For transport we used a car from the car rental company
We recommend the visit of Taormina, Mount Etna - but at this time you have to go to Etna South. From Etna Nord the jeeps don´t operate because of political problems around streets up to the summit.
We really loved the area and staff was totally amazing. They where very patient with the kids especially. Breakfast food was really good considering the price! Pool was nice and the bar was really convenient. Again staff was simply amazing!! They just make you want to go back. There was a small playing field as well which the kids loved! We really loved that there was a gate which is always closed and opened by a pin code so that made us feel safe. The hotel restaurant was very good and food was delicious.
we liked the pools so much! We had marvelous view from our both balconies - sea on one side and Etna on the other side. We were lucky enough to see Etna's red glowing peak in the darkness. The hotel has a beautiful garden as well. There were 2 bathrooms in our room which was extremely convenient when travelling with the family. The staff was so welcoming, we were allowed to stay in our room as long as we wish , so we stayed half of the day on our checkout day. We are coming back there soon, for sure.
Agri Sicily met our expectations. A relaxing, quiet and welcoming B&B, with a clean and fresh decor, surrounded by well-kept grounds, trees and a good-sized pool. Maria and her husband were very welcoming. The B&B was what we had in mind. A good breakfast every morning. Its location, although set in a suburb area, is close enough to travel by car to Etna, Taormina and other beautiful places in the area. We also ate well in various restaurants in Mascali itself, Giarre and close by.
position, gentile staff and availability to help and provide suggestions around the region, breakfast and diversity of food, swimming pool and facilities, room space and accessibility. the staff welcomes us from the moment we entered the hotel and guided us to the best restaurants and beaches around the region. they were available everyday to provide support as needed and put a smile upon our faces all the time. they basically made our trip amazing.
Great location to visit Etna and Taormina. Apartments are in a gated community with lots of parking. Super pool area and clean well kept garden and surroundings with many different types of fruit trees. Apartment was spacious, with a large terrace area and although not brand new was in good condition and nicely furnished/equiped.
Nice coffee shop/gelateria and small grocery store are close by. Villa Galati is an oasis in Mascali.
Totally recommend and I wish every holiday stay were like this. Amazingly nice and open owners that will help you with everything and make you feel like home.
Very comfortable apartments with all equipment needed.
Placed really close to the sea (5 minutes walk) in very quiet and cosy part of Mascali.
We are more than happy to choose Focu e Mari for our holiday's stay.
The location by the beach. Friendly approach of Danilo , he has been always willing to advise and support us. Secure parking place . Two terraces and a beautiful view of the sea and Mount Etna. Good location Mascali for trips around southern Sicily.Clean beaches, suitable for relaxation. We spent a week there, we were very satisfied and happy to return
Lovely hotel and a large swimming pool. Breakfast was good and so was the parking. Aircondition was very good and WiFi strong. Some blackout curtains or blinds are needed in the room though. Diane, the receptionist spoke Maltese and that
was a plus. Area outside the hotel is not very nice especially at night. But the hotel itself is very good.
Very nice hotel run by a friendly couple. They made my stay very easy and comfortable, even when I got there late at night. I would recommend a car because it’s hard to get somewhere without sidewalks. In the end I even got a lift to the station because there were no taxis available. Thank you very much, grazie!
Cozy and tidy apartment in a residence next to the centre of Mascali. Ownership very friendly and polite. Private parking place. Ideal for tourists with cars. Not far from many Sicilian highlights, such as Mount Etna, Taormina, Alcantara Gorges, Marina di Cottone (gorgeous beach).
The hotel is in such a beautiful place… Mt. Etna in the background . Its amazing to see it from the terrace and pool. Everyone is so nice and helpful. The room is nice and clean. Beautiful bathroom and the best shower pressure we had in Sicily. It’s such a deal for what we paid!
Great hotel. SUPER clean, great facilities (all is new) and the pool is very nice. The staff is so friendly and the location is great - close to Mt. Etna, Taormina and all the great attractions of north east Sicily.
The apartment is really large and comfortable, superbly clean, quiet and super equipped (e.g. professional hotel cosmetics and amenity). Raffaele is the best host I have ever met. When you meet him you will know…
The staff was amazing, the pool is big and very clean and they have a private beach as well, very close to the hotel.
The food and their cocktails are amazing.
We had a great 2 nights in this hotel.
The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Both English and German were spoken at the Hotel. The food was excellent and the pool though cold at this time was very well looked after everyday.
