The staff was very helpful, starting with the woman who encountered us at the bottom of the hill and insisted on calling up for transport to save us from pulling our luggage up the quite steep hill. Good call. The front desk people were able to give us maps and hiking info, as well as train and boat schedules. The restaurant is lovely with great views and good food. I was unable to book a room with a view on-line, but was able to upgrade upon arrival. It is absolutely worth it to get a room on the top floor. The location of the hotel is perfect, far enough above town for quiet, but close enough to walk to dinner and shopping very easily.…
