Perfect for a day and night trip (like arrive in the early afternoon and leave the following late morning). In addition to the Roman city within Jerash there are other nice spots to the north (just south of the border with Israel and Syria), reachable by car, that are definitely worth to visit.

Jerash is much smaller and quieter than Amman.
Jerash is much smaller and quieter than Amman. But you will get to meet people like the operator of the 511 grocery or other markets, the owner of the property, and people say hello all the time. A short trip to Ajloun and you see a Byzantine castle. In between is Souf, a small town with many shops. A wonderfully quiet part of Jordan, and the Roman ruins are the best outside of Pompeii!

The ruins were spectacular.
The ruins were spectacular. I thoroughly recommend taking 3-5 hours for them. The area is also a good getaway for North Jordan. You can enjoy cheap local food in Jerash. I found a nice shawarma place 5 minutes walk from the ruins. It was called: داريا للمطاعم جرش

Jerash archeological site is huge and worth visiting, spectacular views, whole streets with columns, temple of Zeus and Artemis. Probably more interesting details could be received from local guide, but all explanation posts are in place. Take 2L of water per person, especially during summer time and ignore local mercenaries inside. Comfortable shoes and clothe for 2-3 hours of walking recommended

when you go to Roman ruins be ''carefull'' (like everywhere) for people which are inside and selling various stuff - they are ''hunters'' and prepaird to pull out even only 1 JD :) but on the other way if you don't have guide you can ''use'' one of them for cheep money.

Jerash the hisotry park: if you have any real interest in Roman architecture, reserve the whole day to appreciate everything the huge park has. More to see than Petra on a smaller footprint. Make sure to view the museum. Good coffee shop and nice staff there. We didn't do anything in town.
The staff was very nice and treated us well. It is well located, just next to the archeological site of Jerash. The breakfast was decent, and the dinner was yummy (although a bit expensive for what it was). The room was also very well decorated and comfortable.
For the price, you get what you would expect. A lovely room (although they didn't give us a room with the view even though there were maybe only 5 people in the whole hotel...), a decent meal, and an overall comfortable space.
I have a wonderful stay. The best thing about this property was it’s host. They make you feel as you are part of their family, they gave you care as their own kids….I am yet to see such a hospitable host. I will recommend this property to foreigners especially, so they should have a close view of Jordanian and Muslim family culture….
Location of this property was perfect and meals prepared at home delicious as well as affordable…
Room was clean, good AC and comfy bed. First balcony was a nice spot to chill. Breakfast definitely enough and tasty! Free coffee, tea and water was nice.
Location close to some cool markets, you find them on the way to the ruins.
Overall, solid hotel with good price for your own room if you are just to visit and see stuff, then great place. Definitely a quiet place and the area is local.
The location of accommodation is very convenient and very easy to find with free parking on the street next to the house. The owner and his son were very very friendly and welcoming, caring for their guests. No problem what time you arrive. The apartment is spacious and comfortable, with wifi. It is not a 5 stars hotel but I think it is a very good value for the money for travelers.
Great hotel! The bed was really comfortable. The terrace has great views of the Jerash ruins. The property was clean and nicely decorated, and was close to the ruins- a 10 minute walk. There were communal areas outside and inside too. The bathroom was outdated but this didn’t impact our stay at all. We would recommend a stay here.
The location of the hotel is very strategic
We walked to the south stand because it is near and we took pictures of the beautiful city of Jerash then we came back to the room and the bathroom was very clean and the internet is fast then we went to eat and the host explained to us about the food culture in their country
Family guest house in direct neighbourhood of the Jerash complex. I booked a room just for myself and got a big room where 8 people could easily fit in. Free parking next to the hotel. Tasty breakfast on the veranda under the grapevine. The owner does his best to make the stay even better. Clean bathroom.
Everything was excellent. From the customer service of Mr Atoom and his family to the apartment it self.
The views are beautiful because you are able to oversee Jarash and every corner of the room is clean with great attention to detail showing the great hospitality of the Jordanian people.
The hotel Is really close to the entrance of the archeological site of Jerash, which really deserves a visit. The room was big, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The family that welcomed us was kind and hospitable, they prepared a good breakfast for us.
We got "upgraded", so basically we received a bigger apartment with 2 rooms (instead of 1). Traveling as 3 people it definitely helped. Location and view are amazing. Simply the place to go if you want to visit JERASH. No question about it.
Beautiful garden setting-clean & tidy accommodation-thoughtful attention to detail-welcoming & gracious host-great communication. Perfect spot for exploring Jerash and the northern part of Jordan. Very good value. Highly recommend!
The manager and staff were extremely helpful and anxious to please my group. The view is terrific from the rooftop where we ate our meals. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. A great place to stay in Jarash.
Basic place to stay beside the historic Jerash site which you can see from the window of the hotel. It's got more of a hostel vibe to it than a hotel with a shared kitchen.
Abu Tunicia, the person in charge, very attentive and polite. The cleanliness of the rooms is perfect. Breakfast, very good. Our stay at the hotel was very good.
Excellent location for our one night stay so we could explore Jarash. Plenty of free parking available. The room was big and clean. Excellent value for money!!
The hosts were very lovely and did their best to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The location was quiet yet close to the historical centre of Jarash.
