“I didn't need all the leather trimmings & luxury shampoos. It was very clean and comfortable and big and I could see it from the train station. It was not badly priced for this level of hotel. Was one of the only places available around MotoGP weekend & was close to shuttle bus. Some great local eats nearby. (Not all staff speak English. Thank god for Smartphones & online translators. But she was doing me a big favour phoning a Japanese speaking third party) ”
“As a solo traveller I am used to tiny rooms in Japan but the room at the Chisun would have to be the largest "single" that I ahve ever encountered. I have stayed with a friend in "twin" rooms that have been smaller.”
“Twin room excellent. Western breakfast for 7 euro pp was oke. Very near train station to travel for Nikko and Kinugawa-onsen ”
“I loved this hotel in every way except the lack of clear English spoken by reception staff. It caused many misunderstandings. I liked the very pleasant, helpful Taiwanese waiter who spoke excellent English, and have suggested he should be promoted to the reception desk. His name is Jia Meng Liu. We recommended him to a manager type older mature man on the desk; he listened politely but didn't respond positively! I hope they do this cos I can't tell my non-speaking Japanese friends to go there otherwise!”
