Yamanakako Shuzanso Very good 8.5 The staff was very accommodating and understanding of our (as Americans) unfamiliarity with the culture and customs of a ryokan stay. So helpful and kind!
Hotorinite Exceptional 9.7 I stopped here to see Fuji. I would say I was better surprise by Hotorinite. Great location. Super nice owner. Hot tube for a genuine Japanese experience. Typical ryokan rooms.
Hotel Mifuji Okay 5.6 amazing location. very helpful staff, and lovely food. the onsen was fantastic. views of Mt Fuji from bed were incredible.
Kikuya Good 7.9 The location is really excellent for the first time traveller. Get off the bus and the hotel is 50m away. There is a 7 Eleven 75m away for all your minor needs and ATM withdrawals. The same bus stop is good for all your tours around Mt Fuji. Mt Fuji is really close up. There are lots of restaurants nearby.
Hotel Mt. Fuji Very good 8.2 View of Mt Fuji was fantastic from the hotel premises. Onsen facilities were great. Good size room, very comfortable to 3 persons. Good spread for buffet breakfast; value for money.

Hotels that guests love in Yamanakako

    • The garden was great and, thanks to a sunny day, we had wonderful views of Mt Fuji.

    • Mt Fuji is spectacular and this hotel offers mountain views from all rooms

    • Naoki, owner of the Hotorinote hostel, is extraordinary nice, considerate and helpful. He not only has kept our room warm and cozy, but also lended us gloves and hats and drawn maps for us. The house itself is well decorated in Japanese style, has everything one needs during traveling, and is located near a bus stop and next to the beautiful Yamanakako Lake. It has been the best experience at Mt Fuji.

    • The views of Mt Fuji from our balcony(when it wasn't swathed in cloud!) were breathtaking. Also a great view of Lake Yamanaka helped. It snowed while we ate dinner in The Main Dining restaurant which was quite magical.

    • Great view of Mt Fuji and biggest room and beds of our entire Japan trip. Staff were very friendly.
