Best part of the island! Long difficult road to drive from the airport- about 40 miles but takes about two hours. Do not recommend driving the pothole ridden and steep roads during dark. Gros Islet is absolutely beautiful- very laid back, relaxing, safe, and had everything you need for a great family vacation. All beaches are public access, so you can go to any "resort" beach as long as you do not use the beach furniture or umbrellas- they cannot kick you off the beach.

Gros Islet is a fairly compact area which is easy to walk around.
The locals are very friendly towards tourists.
There are plenty of bars, restaurants, fast food take away, supermarkets and duty free shopping.

The area near and around Bay Gardens Beach Resort was a very good area. Lots of amenities at this Resort and the staff was excellent. My only concern were the food portions. As an adult I'd like adult portions instead of kid portions at mealtime. Aside from that, this is a GREAT Resort to vacation at. The Water Park in front of the Resort was definitely a plus for the people with kids. I didn't use the Park but if I were traveling with my family who has kids, they would've been out in the water at the Park from early in the morning to late at night.

Try the local food and enjoy the island.
Try the local food and enjoy the island. Make sure you have change in usd because money exchange might be difficult or you will have a bad exchange rate. Gros Islet and Rodney Bay both have a lot of good breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Get a dataplan for your phone, i had a Digicell simcard.

Enjoy it a lot felt like a home away from home .
Enjoy it a lot felt like a home away from home . Angelika made me felt very welcome and went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable. IE taking me around when needed and if she couldn’t put me on to the people or person who could . Mark also gave me the sense that there was no task you could not ask of him . Didn’t need to because the place and my stay was perfect
Hotel staff were friendly. Pool was not large, but because of covid the hotel had low occupancy which ensured we often had the pool to ourselves. Location was excellent for access to Rodney Bay marina and for exploring the north of St.Lucia. The main shopping area and restaurants were also within walking distance (for us). The restaurant chef went out of her way to provide gluten free meals for two of our party (but see negative below). Restaurant offered decent dinner offerings. Parking was easy.
It's a really cool stand-alone villa, with some privacy, all amenities, and a full kitchen. The place is spacious and charming. The host, Ben, is a standout human being, really plugged in to modern technology and willing to go the extra mile to make everything easy (great communication). It's also secluded and quiet, but not so secluded that it takes long to get to Gros Islet. Overall a charming stay at a really affordable price, we wish we would have stayed a bit longer.
everything. You cannot fault this hotel. It is a really special gem on the island. The staff are exceptional, the food is wonderful, the beach and location is idyllic, the pool is really well tended to as are the grounds and don’t get me started on the rum punch and excellent coffee! Plus they really took care of us all and went above and beyond when Storm Brett happened.
This hotel is not what they advertise, They have a serious mold issue and the rooms were not well kept. The swim out pools was not clean and the sun chairs were dirty, They came to the room the same day to clean it. The room should have been cleaned before we got there. Very disappointed!!
We liked how convenient it was for us to book a hotel short notice when we were not happy with our previous reservation. The beach was nice and not congested. The Hideaway pools were not crowded and easily accessible. Most of the staff were very nice and pleasant.
Thank you so much all staff to be so nice and accommodating, we had such a wonderful extended stay! Thank Kwesi for dinner table games!
It's so good to be able to use other group hotel facilities and have the feel for local St Lucia !
Loved this hotel! The staff was extremely friendly and I wish I could have stayed longer. Super close to the beach and the on-site classes are amazing! Would highly recommends and would certainly stay here again!
Based on the fact that my stay this time was only overnight, the time spent in the hotel was minimal. However, the suite where i stayed was exceptional and very comfortable. Breakfast was as usual, great!
Very happy to be at the hotel, luxurious and clean facilities with such good views, happy to be here on vacation and the service of the staff is very good and friendly, thank you, see you soon
