We stayed at Amanta Beach Resort for two nights and wished we would have stayed for a week! The property is beautiful and private but close enough to Nilaveli & Trinco that you could take a Tuk Tuk if you needed to. The rooms were spotless, beautiful, and everything worked perfectly (including the air con). As previous reviewers have said, the beach is your own little private slice of paradise. We were there a few weeks before the heavy season, so the seas were a bit rough, but we spent many hours lounging in the chairs on the sand!
The food was amazing too! We had dinner one night and it was one of the best meals that we've had on our year abroad. The owner/chef comes out and explains everything and tells you where he got the ingredients from (mostly his on-site garden).
Shyakthi and his staff make this place what it is! They all go above and beyond to make sure you're enjoying yourself and that you're comfortable. They put a lot of time and energy into the entire experience and it shows. There is a reason this hotel is rated 9+ on Booking and you should definitely come see for yourself!

C Beyond is truly an exceptional beachside hotel. Eric and his staff were attentive to our every need and prepared beautiful meals. We were so content just lounging on our balcony or taking a walk on the beach that some of our group didn’t even leave for three days. C Beyond exceeded our expectations on all fronts during our three night stay.

This is a hidden gem, easily screened out if you were looking for 4 star plus. This place is a paradise if you are looking for a relaxing vacation and get trained in Scuba and get certification. Diving school at the edge of this property has all the gear you can rent for the day or you can bring your own. Instructors are experienced in local reefs and diving hot spots. Best food here is Sri Lankan food and fresh off the boat seafood. If you don't like spicy food, choices may be limited. My daughters, one of whom was a Vegan had plenty of choices.

Nilaveli is a quiet place on the whole. If you're into snorkeling....dolphin watching and whale watching then this is the ideal place for you. We stayed at an amazing boutique property called cbeyond nelaveli. The property has one of the cleanest Beaches if not the cleanest beach in the area. Also you get picked up at that beach itself for all the activities so it's very convenient. Also a must go place for a drink or swim is Beach lovers. Nilaveli beach is great and you really need a vehicle to get around Nilaveli and to the Trinco town and Nilaveli beach, the hotel is perfect if you are there for relaxation and chill. I'm vegetarian hence beachside restaurant is not a perfect place to talk about food, however, the staff of Nilaveli Beach hotel did offer me some good local and international vegetarian dishes and the taste was good as well. You can do many activities there, but the time I was travelling was not ideal for any activities because of the COVID-19. It was more of a forceful stay to pass the day.

Fabulous resort with excellent friendly staff. Rooms are super clean and beds very comfortable. AC works great and there are fans as well. The food at the restaurant is a bit pricey but we managed to use the fridge in the room and have our driver take us to get snacks and breakfast foods so we ate only our dinner at the resort. The pool is wonderful, clean and there is plenty of shade. The beach also has shade. Beach towels and mats are provide for the pool and beach area so you don't need to take towels from the room. The staff are always asking if you need anything and always have a smile on their faces. This place is fantastic apart from the internet which is only in the area near the lobby and restaurant and is not always the best. Otherwise the resort is a 5 star in our opinion.NancyCanada - 10Scored 10

I recommend everybody to go to a good hotel for your stay! Spend some more money but better stay in a good one. We stayed in Nilaveli Beach Front Condos. Nilaveli Beach is a super place. Enjoyed Lovely sunrise.unforgettable! Even we saw the sunset at kinniya on the same day. So it's fab! Pigeon island is a must place to go. You will see how much you love the almighty when going on that little boat. But on the way back its normal. Pregnant ladies...don't go in that boat. I suggest the Navy to have a kind of a big safety boat for travelling. Boat rate - 2000/- ( don't rent from anywhere else, not even from your hotel as it's run by a society) Tickets - we paid only 765/- for 6 Snorkeling rate - 600/- per set per person Don't get safety jackets as it's no use while Snorkeling. They charge 400/-. Don't hire a guide. They will just take you to a place telling you fairy tales. It's a safe place. Officials are there for any assistance. Only thing is you should keep some first aid as sometimes people will get cuts for corals. Enjoy coral and fish. But do not touch! No much places to eat in trinco though. So better have your food in the hotel itself. Our food was awesome at Beach front condos! Ohhh yet mouth watering. If not go to Dutch Bank closer to navy camp. Super clean food! It is halfway between the main road and the beach so it's easy to get a bus into trinco or walk to the beach. I stayed 4 days and was sad to leave. The bed was fine, the bathroom was beautiful. The fans inside and out were sufficient and in the night a bit too cool. I went snorkeling with pearl divers on nilaveli beach. They do padi courses too. Saw dolphins and a whale. Went to coral beach for.....corals. and all uncrowded.
