Praia do Tofo itself is Paradise.
Praia do Tofo itself is Paradise. However, avoid using LAM to travel at all costs. On our trip there one of our bags was simply left in Johanneburg and only reached us 3 days later. On our trip back, our flight was delayed for 18 hours and then cancelled with no indication of when a flight will be available. We had to charter a bus to get to Maputo to ensure we were home for Christmas. In both cases, LAM was extremely unhelpful. No information could be provided. Not even an apology was offered. To date we have not been able to secure a refund for the cancelled flight.

Great view..
Great view.. We booked for 3 nights stayed the first and then left. Room smells like sewage at night. Water from taps and in toilet is brown. Safe does not work and could not be fixed. So nowhere to keep our important docs. RE car papers and passports. Wind blowing through the doors at nights. Restaurant is very slow. Only 3 tables wer full and waited almost 1h 25mins for supper. We had a sleepless night. Reception did nothing to help. No manager on duty. Sent a email to the property with no answer. We drove 6 hours back to Bilene and booked for the remainder two nights. One good thing here is the view.

Lovely beach/beach town roughly 8 hours outside of Maputo. Great beach resorts (with a variety of price points from backpackers to lodges), restaurants, and activities (scuba, surfing, boat safaris).

Do not trust owner if they say look at picture their is not...
Do not trust owner if they say look at picture their is not integrity with them, they only want your money....Putting 4 adults into a room not bigger that a store room, what did they think only amount money....And telling people whom never was their before and whom trusted in peoples integrity to look at photos....Photos lies more than humand....Absolute disgrace could have rather advice us to someone else than to be money obsessive and making our holiday a great disaster. And the toilet, shower and basin water was brown like sewerage water and also smelt that way......LouiseSouth Africa - 10Scored 10
Loved Tofo! It is rustic and just awesome.
Loved Tofo! It is rustic and just awesome. Get smaller denominations of the currency as it makes buying at the local markets easier. Loads of activities - obviously mostly water based. If you want quad biking or fat bike riding - try the resort Sentidos for that.RagnaSouth Africa - 8.0Scored 8.0

Nice staff, great food at the restaurant, rooms are clean and comfortable, great location. Food and drinks in the bar and restaurant are overpriced, bad smell in the toilets and too much vendors distubing.
