A bustling small city, Eindhoven is the ‘Capital of Dutch Design’ and home to the Design Academy. It houses a renowned technical university, and is a European technological hub that makes it shine with modern buildings and venues. The 5th-largest city in the Netherlands has also become popular for the fast-growing Eindhoven Airport.
Although it gained its city rights in 1232, until the foundation of the Phillips Company in 1891 it was still a small village. Encompassing the growth of the company, at the beginning of the 21st century its population had jumped to 200.000 people.
Nowadays, it still attracts companies and people wanting to develop themselves in the fields of creativity and innovation. The Dutch Design Week is a famous event that takes place in October, while contemporary media, art and technology inspire the city’s agenda throughout the year.
Choosing hotels in Eindhoven’s city centre is the best way to have everything at hand. However, hotels or B&B’s near the train station or Eindhoven Airport are also a good option to avoid last-minute rushes. Check out Booking.com’s deals before you travel!

“The staff was totally awesome. Thanks for free orange juice, it made my day. For the hostel room, bed was really ok, after 3 nights feel like home.”
“Very good attention of the stuff. Really kind people!!”
“Very friendly and hospital staff. Clean, large room (single) - bed, table, chairs, sink, TV, refrigerator. The price is very good too. Wilhelminaplain is place of parties but in room noise doesn't disturbed me. Good place to start excursions - close to city centre, PSV Eindhoven stadium, Strijp S. Eindhoven railway station is 5-10 min walk from the hotel. I've been in this hotel 3rd time and I have no doubt which hotel I have to chose next time going to the Netherlands - Budgethotel de Zwaan. Highly recomended.”
“Booked the hotel in error as there are 2 Hampshire Hotels in Eindhoven and i thought it was the other one but thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Friendly, helpful staff, nice hotel facilities and quiet scenic location near a park.”
“Good hotel for the night if you have to go to the airport early in the morning. Bus 401 from Eindhoven station stops near the hotel on the way to the airport. Get off at stop P&R Meerhoven.”
“Inntel Eindhoven clearly is a top of the notch design hotel with very reasonable prices (we paid EUR 62 as a special deal). The room (8th Floor) was as spacious as the bathroom and had, apart from the bed, a sofa and a fauteuil, a desk and a chair. The staff is very helpful. The hotel is literally w min. walking distance from the center.”
“The hotel is located right in the Eindhoven airport terminal - therefore, excellent choice if you have an early flight.”
