It was everything as stated in the web site, restful and peaceful, a step back into the past, but with Moden facilities,
the breakfast was absolutely perfect, our friend who have travelled the world throughout Europe said it was the best standard they had been in

The cooked breakfast was absolutely scrumptious. Homemade breads and spreads were a great touch. Euan was very hospitable and made us feel very comfortable in his home. Beautiful homestead and garden and the location to the town was brilliant.

In Clyde, I was looking for a quiet-ish place with a bit of activity around, so I could do some work without distractions, but feel not too distant from other people. Clyde exceeded my expectations!
What I liked - there's such a variety of things around - a beautiful historic town centre with a few cafes and restaurants. Even a cinema. There's wine stuff nearby for those who are into that (I'm not into that personally). And there are a few walking tracks - I did part of the Cairnmuir Hill Track, which offered beautiful landscapes and stunning views of the surrounding areas.
I also really enjoyed looking at the nearby Hydro dam.

Great place to visit and the Start of the Lake Dunstan Cycle Trail. Cyclists are well catered for and at the end of the day there are a number of cafes, and a couple of excellent restaurants. .. just need to book.
Very enjoyable small Central Otago town full of heritage buildings and beside the river - a great place to explore.

We stayed in Clyde as we were doing a one day bike ride along the Otago Rail Trail. Easy access to the Bike Rental and as we returned to the Clyde station it was perfect for us. Trail Journeys fit us for our bikes, drove us out to Auripo and sent us on our way. Great 61km ride!!!! Coffee at Lauder :) Beer and a Cheese Roll at Chatto Cool. :) We ate both nights at Paulina's Restaurant. Excellent food. The Lamb rump and Seafood paella were delicious. Definitely stay in Clyde and use Trail Journeys!
If you are wanting to immerse yourself in the history of Clyde this is the place to stay. We had a short drive round to a few of the local vineyards, enjoying the wine tastings. Relaxed on the wrap around balcony, before wondering across the road for a lovely meal at Olivers. Then enjoyed a continental breakfast before heading off to the Lake Dunstan Bike trail. In addition Ian and Meredith were lovely hosts and all our needs were met, i highly recommend staying here, we loved it.
We loved everything about The Prospectors on Miner accommodation. The industrial+modern design, the beautiful outdoor deck, the comfortable beds and beautiful bed linen + wonderful kitchen and bathroom. Everything was exceptionally clean and comfy and brand new. And whilst being located on the owners property it is very private.
I'd say this is the best place to stay in historic Clyde - and a great base to cycle Dunstan Lake, Roxburgh Gorge and the Central Otago rail trail.
it was like having our own private cottage with everything needed for our trip. especially nice was the washing machine and clothes line, food and drinks and snacks provided. The bed was comfortable and there were nice outdoor sitting areas. It was an easy walk into the town of Clyde to start our bike ride with Get Your Ride.
The perfect Clyde location. In the town centre immediately adjacent to pubs, restaurants and cycle shops. The building restoration work is incredible and impressive. The beds were awesome - comfortable and warm. The breakfasts were perfect and well catered for preparing for the day ahead.
The 2 Oaks Clyde is a great property to stay at. We only had 1 night there but would have easily stayed 2. Lovely and quiet. The accommodation was excellent, so clean and tidy and lovely and warm. The hosts Trish & Ben were very friendly and answered all our questions.
Great location; just a walk to everything in Clyde. Jeff and Lynette were quick to respond to any of our questions before we arrived and were really helpful and accommodating. It’s a lovely, private studio in a beautifully maintained garden.
Pretty cottage set to the rear of the property with a lovely outlook over well cared for flower and vegetable gardens. Quiet location just a short stroll away from the centre of Clyde with its quaint shops and restaurants.
Perfect location in Clyde, 5 minutes walk to "downtown", fantastic lay-out of house with huge kitchen, living area and bedrooms at either side with also a big balcony. And the art work on the walls, wow!
