Hostal Sauce Fabulous 8.7 We loved our stay here with the views straight to the archaeological site. We travelled with our elderly Mum so we chose this spot so she could enjoy this one from her room (in case she was tired from a few days climbing the stairs on other sites)! Perfect for all of us.
Hotel Sol, Ollantaytambo Very good 8.2 Great staff - very helpful and enthusiastic. They dealt gracefully with a lot of demands and confusion caused by our chaotic group of friends. The view from some of the rooms is AMAZING. Breakfast if excllent. Highly recommended.
Hostal Chaska Wasi Good 7.8 Very close to all the main tourist attractions The owners were very friendly The hostal is very clean and quiet. Breakfast is chosen by us!
Hostal Iskay, Ollantaytambo Fabulous 8.7 Hostal Iksay is a worthy accomodation for a peacful stay in Ollantaytambo. From the garden you have a wonderful view to the ruins and the mountains. The hotel is around 300m away from the main plaza, which is enough to be seperated from the tourists that are on their way to Machu Picchu. Sometimes you see humingbirds in their garden. Keep your eyes open!
Apu Lodge, Ollantaytambo Fabulous 8.6
Picaflor Tambo Very good 8.2 Loved the pisco party the first night. Hilda was very helpful and recommended some fantastic restaurants.
Tunupa Lodge Hotel, Ollantaytambo Very good 8.5 Beautiful peaceful location, best sleep we've had in the Cusco area. Superb breakfast buffet
Hotel Pakaritampu Fabulous 8.6
Casa de Wow Good 7.7 The highlight of our stay at Casa de Wow! was the friendliness and helpfulness of one of their staff - Hugo. After our stay we mentioned that we had to get back to Cusco and were interested in seeing Moras, Moray and Pisac. He called around and found us a good deal on a private guided tour of the sacred valley, which turned out to be a major highlight of our trip. The hotel decor fits in with the location, the rooms are warm and our bed was nice and comfortable. The view from the roof is not to be missed!
Mama Simona Ollantaytambo Fabulous 8.8 Very new(about 3 months or so), very clean, neat, beautiful. Very nice people are working there. I liked the most is the tiny garden with my favorite flowers Datura/Angel's Trumpets all over and a very powerful tiny creek runs through by the garden. Especially I loved listening to the sounds of the creek, Very meditative days and nights. I loved there so much that I expanded one week more to stay. I'll give them a big 5 stars! ¡Gracias, Mama Simona Ollantaytambo, Perú! I'll come back there sometime soon hopefully.
