Reszel is an interesting little town, locked in time with...
Reszel is an interesting little town, locked in time with its very authentic and beautifully restored old castle, now a hotel. Many old buildings are being refurbished in the area so there is a bit of construction going on around the castle - this is in August 2019. The castle is as real as it gets with its tower - the view over the terracota roofs of the town is beautiful. There is an ineresting if a bit gory exhibition of torture equipment in the castle, not necessarily to everyones' liking! The resaturant in the castle serves very tasty food. There is a nicely restored gothic church opposite the castle. This part of Poland is full of beautiful forests and lakes very greeen and peaceful. Recommended!

Room was big, clean and warm on a cool evening. The sightseeing of the castle is included in the hotel rate! Breakfast was nice (also included in the rate). The park located next to the castle is a must visit..... beautifully designed and maintained with many old oak trees... truly an oasis.PiotrCyprus
