Tranquil location with stunning views over the Douro; excellent food; the tastings of wine and port were superb; nice short walking trails on the estate

Breakfast, location and staff all amazing. The pool was a little small and the pool ball could have been opened but considering we are off season it was acceptable it wasn’t.
To really be amazing it would be great if you could get a massage on site. We did lots of hiking and there was nothing really in town

The location is not for everyone, but we loved it.
It is isolated from the nearest villages, but the views more than compensate for that you're pretty much required to have dinner in their, very good (!), restaurant if you want to have glass or two of wine.

The property and the staff are amazing, Matheus the manager was outstanding. He contacted us before arrival to let us know that there was no restaurant at the property but they could prepare something. And he prepared a soup and a cheese table. He was very nice. The breakfast was superb. The house itself is very comfortable. The location is outstanding. We will be back for sure!

We had the one bedroom apartment with balcony overlooking the Duoro River. It had a very nice kitchen and bathroom. The lounge had a twin bed which might have pulled out for a second twin if needed. The bedroom have a desk but no mirror and queen size bed and comfortable pillows and nice linen. All rooms have view of river and everything was spotlessly clean and modern. The breakfast was excellent with meat, cheese, bread, cake, jams, and scrambled eggs plus fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee. The pool area had plenty of loungers and umbrellas and over looked the river. There was a walking trail along the river and the train was across the street as well as two restaurant.

Great value hotel far exceeded our expectations

Lovely breakfast and friendly helpful staff.
There are three local restaurants, value for money is definitely the Tapas across the road.
We found the other restaurants gave too much food, such a waste. You could get away with sharing one main even the small portion.
