João was an excellent host! He made my comfort his top priority during the 4 nights I stayed there. The facilities aren't only comfortable, but are beautifully decorated and pristeen. The kitchen/gathering area is a warm and inviting place to spend time even when you aren't eating. However, the breakfasts were amazing! João and his co-workers put out a spread every day that would rival those of the nicest restaurants. The whole place felt like home.

The apartment is located in a really awesome location and is very unique. We loved the roof top area and the layout, decor and just over all feel. The host was very accommodating and friendly and there was an issue with the tenant before us, but the owner made it happen for us and we could not have been more grateful. We appreciate her getting the space available on such short notice!
We loved it!

I know Olhao as a cheap and quit place but not anymore, its too noisy and expensive for us so unfortunately our next trip will be somewhere else.
For children there is not so much to do.
Its an excellent place for the eldery because of the shops, the bars, the restaurants and the boats to the beach. Eveything is easy to reach by car, bus, train, boat or taxi.
You have to be carefull for sunburn. Especially at the beach.
I dont burn easily but even early in April I got burned so much it hurts.
Be carefull! Also please dont swimm, the water is *** cold and we experienced first hand the tide can take you away from the beach,.

We u5ed to travel to Olhao every winter for at lea5t a month, but for the pa5t five year5 have gone el5ewhere. Thi5 year it wa5 the perfect place to 5pend our la5t of 10 week5 away and we were delighted to 5ee and experience all of new development of the waterfront/marina and main avenida area5. Olhao ha5 lot5 to offer, from great re5taurant5, unique 5hopping, fanta5tic market area and the ferry to the i5land5 i5 a MU5T. We e5pecially recommend taking the ferry to Farol or Culatra, then walking the beach/5and dune5 to the other community [take5 about 40 minute5]. It'5 5tunning and a unique experience.
Ea5y local train will take you to other communite5 along the Algarve for tho5e without a car who wi5h to explore the 5urrounding communitie5.

Great City, much nicer than Faro or Albufeira.
Great City, much nicer than Faro or Albufeira.
Some great restaurants, perfect location to drive with your car somewhere. The city is also clean, despite all the beggars coming to you while have a drink or while eating, that's can be irritating at some point.

A beautiful old town on the edge of Faro, easily accessible by bus and train from the airport. Or a reasonable and quick Uber ride.
The traditional properties in the town centre are beautiful and the promenade is wonderful. Well kept, clean with great facilities including outdoor exercise equipment and sun loungers.
I saw the Saturday market and bought a lot of beautiful produce, it was a delight.
The access to the islands is a bonus.
Loved it all apart from my noisy Airbnb and ride old men calling me Puta for no reason haha...
I can handle that.. silly men.
Gelato place on promenade is 👌
Seafood is 👌

This was our second time to a Olhao we explored the city a bit more but what we love is the choice of bars n restaurants n coffee shops you can walk a little or a lot depending on your capability we can’t wait to go back next time we will visit the islands and the beach the real marina hotel is a great location
This hotel is in a fab location over looking the marina of Olhao, within a short walking distance to plenty of restaurants etc.. The staff here are friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. the breakfast at the property is great with plenty of choice and the freshly squeezed orange juice is a nice touch. The pool and spa are fab and spotlessly clean. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and allow for a great nights sleep. I would defiantly recommend this airport if travelling to Olhao and I hope to be back.
This place has the quality of a 5-Star luxury hotel at the price of a B&B. They invested a ton of money in having the absolute best quality and comfort for the guests from the bedroom to the beautiful bathroom to the common area. The Owners are a super-nice and hospitable couple. The breakfast is totally top-notch. Totally quiet, rural location, yet close to many interesting sites and not too far from town. We couldn't believe how pleasant this place was. We'd love to come back and stay for a few weeks and just relax.
If you are planning a stay in Olhao this place is your best bet. The owners are so gracious and accommodating. The rooms are impeccably clean and the rooftop deck overlooks the town with a view of the ocean...beautiful!. My daughter and I stayed there for 2 weeks after Christmas and could have stayed longer. I loved the location next to the church and the sound of the bells chiming throughout the day. I really can't say enough good things about this place, it's a great deal!
Beautiful guesthouse ( B&B ) just outside of Olhao. Very clean and spacious room with nice balcony. Changing of the towels and cleaning service every 2 to 3 days. Lovely breakfast on the outside terrace.
The small but great swimming pool is a good refreshment after a day of discovering the environment of Olhao. Olhao is a great spot to go to Faro, Tavira and a lot of other small Algarvian villages.
Thanks a lot to the very friendly host.
The villa is beautiful, with high quality furnishing, and stylish design. Best of all it's completely private, and has an amazing view right over the infinity pool. You feel like you are deep in the countryside, but downtown Olhao, with all the shopping and restaurants you need, is only 10 minutes away. And as a bonus, the internet is super fast, which is a great help when you need to get some work done like we did.
Very beautiful hotel to stay in. It was clean and neat, comfortable and well decorated. All staff were very friendly and helpful, especially those at the front office. It has a beautiful rooftop bar with great views. We totally enjoyed our stay, it was also walking distance to everywhere in Olhao, very convienent. Great value for money, and all things exceed my expectations.
Hotel is very clean and stylish. Pool area was really lovely. All the staff I met with were so friendly and helpful and they did a great job at making you feel comfortable.
My room on one of higher level floors had a two chaired balcony which overlooked pool area and over Olhao. Great at end of day to relax on.
Bed was massive and the bedding, towels were good quality
Lovely home, all the needs accommodated. Great location, easy to walk around Olhao since the town is so small. Ana is very helpful with local recommendations.
It wasn't clear in the photos but the twin bedroom is in the ground floor which is perfect if you have someone who is mobility challenged. The whole upper level is the master with bath and balcony.
The best and healthiest breakfast i've ever had in a hotel!! And made with lots of effort and love! Even put breakfast out for us at 6 o'clock in the morning although breakfast usually gets served after 8 o'clock.
The owner was more than helpful - one can really feel like home and welcome!
I will come back and can highly recommand this hotel!
The breakfast was very nice. Full of variety and fresh fruits.
We stayed at the top room with direct connection to the roof top. After 22h it is basically a private roof top for anyone on that top room. Nice views to Olhão city, everything clean and good vibes.
A beautiful room in traditional Portuguese house with additional sitting and breakfast areas and two lovely terraces. Our only regret was only booking one night. We would definitely like to return to Olhao and would definitely stay at this accommodation again
Great Hotel & Staff
Fabulous room .Comfy bed
Very close to lots of great restaurants.
We had room 421 , top floor ,very quiet with a fab view .Rooms 409 to 423 give you this view .Staff are great here & friendly too.
The place was clean, comfortable and convenient to walk around old town & go to the the markets, boats & restaurants nearby.
It was nice to have air conditioning upstairs & downstairs because Olhao is HOT.
A stunning historical house with high walls and an awesome rooftop terrace - with the best view of Olhao! It‘s centrally located within all restaurants and the mercado. Comfy bed, clean and super friendly.
The property was self catering and being low season there not so many cafes or restaurants around.
Fortunately the Real Marina Hotel is close by with a good priced dinner available.
