    I recommend hiking the "Ciucarul Mare" track and doing a bicycle tour along the Danube river, starting in the village of Eselnita and cover the most spectaculous part by going (at least) as far as Dubova.

    The only thing to be seen in this city is the lake, and a boat trip on the Danube. There is nothing else to do in the city, no activities, no bars, many restaurants were closed, the buildings are old and not renovated with a great lack of facilities. The view of the city is sad.

    Great view of the Danube.

    Great view of the Danube. Endless possibilities of boat tours on the lake with lot to see. Beautiful park in the town center. Beautiful monasteries near by (St. Anna and Vodite). Short ride away from Drobeta Turnu Severin on one side and Baile Herculane on the other with a lot more amazing places to see. Just a perfect place for rest from the city rowd.

    It is a nice city along the Danube, excellent starting point for boat trips. The city is nice and quiet, and all good things are near the center. Great to the take long evening walks on the promenade, but prepare for it with some mosquito repellent.

    Orsova itself doesn't provide touristic attractions but there are some interesting places to visit in the area like Cazanele Dunarii, hiking trips in the nearby mountains and Portile de Fier hydropower plant museum.

    The city is very well placed around Danube River, mountains...

    The city is very well placed around Danube River, mountains and 30 km away from thermal baths in Herculane. You can enjoy the city in all seasons. Can get a walk around the Danube or klimb the hills around. Can get on top of the hill/mountain and have a spectacular view of the Danube both on Romanian and Serbian sides. It is close to go to thermal baths in Herculane, just 3 kms away. It is great for water sports or just enjoying a boat/ship cruise along the Danube. Can also serve fresh fish in the local restaurants.

    A very good option to stay. It is close to Lidl, the mai square and the property itself is very clean, cozy, spacious and it has a great air conditioner, bath and beds. The most pleasent thing was the terrace, as we were sitting their bery comfortable even when it was raining and also a great hospitability from the landlord. They ask tou if tou need something, if everything is working and also give some coffee in fhe morning and exolain the attractions in Orsova! Higly recommend!

    The hotel is very well located on the sea front, unfortunately we weren't able to secure a room with a view. Maybe the hotel can introduce different options when making the booking. The included breakfast was very good. The a la carte restaurant is okish, although I would say too expensive for what they offer. I felt that the bathroom missed a hanger for the towels. At least the ones that were stuck on the glass were unable to hold a towel :)

    We had a wonderful time at this hotel! The nature around is simply stunning - views of the river and mountains. The peace and quiet make this place ideal for rest and relaxation. Special thanks to the hosts - they are very friendly and attentive, always ready to help and create a cozy atmosphere. We will definitely come back here again!
