Venus Resort is located between Saturn and Cape Aurora, at a height ranging from 3 to 20 meters above sea level. Located at a distance of 3 km, north of Mangalia, the resort was built between 1969-1971 and entered the tourist circuit in 1972. In Venus, accommodation is provided in hotels -many of them with girls' names-, in villas, pensions and camping. The accommodation capacity of the resort is 3,963 places. The length of the beach in the resort is about 1.2 km and is fragmented by dams that form 4 small bays. The beach between Saturn and Venus resorts has a length of 2 km and a width of about 200 m. In the middle of the resort is Lake Venus, and to the west is the Mangalia Stud Farm, where you can practice horseback riding. Venus Resort is under the administration of Mangalia Municipality.

Venus is there exclusively for the beaches (great water, great sand). Other than that, there isn't much to do. It's very small, roads are messed up, limited restaurant choice (food wasn't great and the prices were high due to the lack of diversity) and there are no activities to do close by. I would recommend it to elderly people who go to sleep early or don't mind spending time in their room. For families with small children, the 4 and 5 stars resorts had many activities planned, but it's still inside the hotel resort (if you don't mind, then great :) ).

Is a place where you cannot do so many things, is dead area. The sea is smelling SULF, and the roads are from 40 years ago, and also low quality of people. Good restaurants : in Olimp , 3km, THE DELFIN, CIRESICA and CRAMA MURFATLAR, also the restaurant from hotel Inter that is 5 star rated.

Underdeveloped, has an ‘old’ feel to it. Lots of families with kids. Too many kiosks with plastic products. Expensive food considering the location (ex. 70 ron for a piece of chicken, one small fish, 50 grams of fish egg salad and two 500 ml ice tea bottles).
