Highlight were the temple at Pra mahattat Kopi restaurant and a day trip to Khiriwong village. The town is much bigger than appears on the map and it’s really sprawling. It would be impossible to explore on foot and too dangerous to tour on a bike (the driving is pretty scary as there are two long wide straight roads and cars absolutely tank along taking little account of pedestrians). The food here is sensational. Really different to the more familiar Isan cuisine. Lots of herbs and leaves and VERT hot. Rim Ley restaurant in Tha Sala served up some of the finest seafood I’ve ever had. Everything is in Thai but there are pictures to point at. The scenery in the hills nearby is stunning. It’s well worth a long weekend.

But never expect Ocean Feelings. The Gulf of Thailand is far away - and very dirty. There are even no tourist, like on Phuket on the Andaman Sea.

I like two parts of the city very much:
— The Na Muang park in the city center, with a fountain, old city walls and a really lovely ambiance, specially in the evening, and
— The Thung Tha Lat park North of the center, where you can walk over artificial lakes on extended bridges, or visit an interesting city museum, a peacock garden, and a small zoo. Entry to all sites is free.

I loved the city and the night weekend market.
I loved the city and the night weekend market. Not touristy and probably helps to speak a bit of Thai. Do not use foreign credit card at Tesco Lotus as mine was deemed fraudulent afterwards only for the day luckily. (Good security I suppose)

The staff/owners were very friendly,
efficient and informative.
Breakfast was interesting and traditional - it went beyond the usual expectations of a hotel breakfast in Thailand.
A bar service is available and sufficient. However, a craft beer bar is next door (although expensive) for those like myself that are Interested.
Don't forget to try the Kopi shop in town.
We had a fantastic stay at Tree Home. Lovely room and ensuite - very clean and has everything you need. The staff were also very helpful - the owner’s daughter drove us to Karome waterfall in a nearby national park, which was beautiful, and then to a steam room / sauna in a temple! We loved NST and staying in such a beautiful hotel made it even better.
The rooms were nice and clean. Comfortable beds. Nice views all around. The family that run the place are so careing and respectful. I travel alot and stay in alot of hotels but the service we received here was incredible. .great people. Helped us alot with transport and made sure we had everything we needed. Its a beutifull place to have a break.
The hotel was in a perfect location. There is plenty of places to eat very close by.
The room was very clean. The service was very good. The hotel is very well looked after and their are beautiful artworks on the walls.
Check in was quick and easy.
The property was very clean, the service was good. There was on site parking.
Excellent hotel, very nice room, clean, comfortable. Girl on the front desk really helped me, I needed to post the key from my last hotel back to them, she called them, got the address and directed me to the post office. No drama kid, very professional and not fazed by weird farang making crazy requests! Recommend this hotel highly.
The promise is a tiny and cozy two-star hotel. The location is quiet at night. The city center and the old town are not far away, however, you could not reach it by foot and need to have a vehicle to travel around. The room is quite big and the bed is comfortable. The price is reasonable.
Stayed here many times, and absolutely love this hotel, the best in the area in my opinion. Would recommend and definitely will be staying again. Fantastic breakfast, beautiful Thai food. I have used the restaurant in the evening too, the food is excellent. Nice swimming pool too.
Very spacious and clean rooms
Housekeeping staff was very friendly, always greeting guests
Receptionist on our last day day was kind to help us with an issue
If you have a car then this hotel is a good option

I love the staff that assist me to copy-print my documents for 2 pieces with smile and kindness.
