Hotel Ella Excellent 8.7 Staff was exceptionally courteous and friendly and asked how are adventures were whenever we returned the car to the valet desk. Though the hotel was fully booked, they seemed to remember where we had gone each and every time so that they could ask appropriate questions.
The Driskill Wonderful 9 Loved the driskill. The place is beautiful and in an excellent location right on 6th street. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the room was comfy (although small - which was fine for me as I was travelling by myself). I would definitely recommend this place.
Orangewood Inn and Suites Good 7.5 Breakfast had real meat and eggs
Red Roof PLUS Austin South Good 7.6 From the friendliness of the front desk to the absolutely immaculate rooms, EVERY SINGLE THING about my two days here was excellent. I will definitely stay here again.
Super 8 Austin North Good 7.1 Fantastic service. Clean room and very helpful staff.
Habitat Suites Excellent 8.6 The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Nice place to stay and very clean. Will be staying here again.
Orangewood Suites University Good 7.8 The staff was very gracious and went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed and more.
Motel 6 Austin North Pleasant 6.2 Thank you for letting My girlfriend and I stay at you're motel! It was very nice and comfortable! And was easy to get into downtown Austin!
Red Roof Inn Austin North Okay 5.6 Location, staff, parking. In general, a good option and of course I would stay again.
Ace Motel Pleasant 6.8 We stayed at Ace Motel in March and had no hesitation in returning there for a recent stay in June. The rooms are clean and many have been newly painted and have upgraded bathrooms. The bed is firm, the pillows fantastic, the air conditioning works a treat - cool and quiet - and the fridge and microwave are in great condition too. Though the motel backs onto a main road the rooms are quiet with no traffic noise, and the location is fantastic so close to the university and a strip of restaurants and shops. Ace Motel is our only go to in Austin.
Hyatt Place Austin-North Central Very good 8.1 Jordan and Gabriel were at front desk very friendly welcoming efficient in doing there jobs 2 excellent employees. Service was excellent, breakfast, bar and pool.
Hyatt Regency Austin Excellent 8.6 Hotel was very convenient to everything in Austin. We were able to walk everywhere - it was a great value! Thank you to
Firehouse Hostel Good 7.9 I was in town running in the half marathon and a little nervous about staying in a hostel. The firehouse was great! I had no trouble checking in, the other guests were friendly and courteous and the staff was great! The atmosphere was awesome with the lounge next door and the decor made it feel like a quirky hotel not a hostel at all. I had no trouble sleeping and everything was very clean! I would recommend the firehouse to anyone wanting to explore Austin and be close to the downtown excitement but not wanting to pay an arm and a leg for a hotel.
Hyatt Place Austin/Arboretum Wonderful 9 The staff was the best . Breakfast was fresh and hot .

    A Unique Slice of Texas

Austin is a city like no other in Texas. A haven for the cool and creative, musicians and music fans flock by the hundreds to this "Live Music Capital of the World" for annual festivals like Austin City Limits and SXSW.

Historic downtown Austin is the seat of Texas government, and the seat of fun and entertainment for locals and visitors. Congress Avenue is the main artery through the city center, leading to the impressive Texas State Capitol building at the end. Just off Congress is 6th Street, the popular entertainment district with its quirky bars and fine restaurants.

Away from the hustle and bustle is tranquil Zilker Park, a 350 acre oasis in the heart of the city. Here you can wander through the Zilker Botanical Gardens, or take a dip in the inviting Barton Springs Pool, a natural spring where locals swim year round. A walk around Town Lake at sunset is a must.

Austin is also home to the University of Texas, where about 50,000 students are enrolled each year which ensures a fun and youthful atmosphere throughout the city.

It is possible to get around Austin by bicycle and bus, and Austin International Airport is only 8 miles from downtown Austin. From motels to resorts, has accommodations as unique as the city itself.

Hotels that guests love in Austin

    • My fiancé and I were just passing through and stayed at the courtyard. We arrived at the hotel at 1:00am! The front desk person was so nice and didn't waste anytime getting us checked in and giving us our keys. Our room was very nice and the bed was so comfortable! I am returning to austin for my bachelorette party and I will be staying at the courtyard!

    • Close traveling distance to all of Austin and surrounding areas. Easy interstate access right out of driveway. Hotel had a pool for relaxing during our breaks. Room was quite large and roomy for our 5 member family.

    • This hotel is clean and the rooms have been updated. It is conveniently located for a business trip to the state capitol. The staffers are outstanding, especially the evening clerk. This was my second stay this year, and next time I visit Austin, I will stay here again.

    • Very decent hotel if you only need a place to sleep and shower for a couple of nights. Nothing too fancy, but the room was large enough and clean, good wi-fi coverage, decent breakfast. Can get a bit noisy because of the highway. Taxi to 6th Street costs about $20 and takes 10-15 min. We stayed for 2 nights (weekend trip) and even taking into account 4 taxi trips, all in all it was still cheaper than staying in a more central location. I think it was absolutely worth it, would stay there again when in Austin!

    • As the title of this review would suggest, it was a clean, modern and comfortable hotel. Rooms were a nice size. There's a small, outdoors, pool and sunbathing area with a nice view of the city. The breakfast is fantastic and I over did it every morning! It's a good location - near to the Capitol Building and walking distance to downtown. There's a bus top outside (but Austin bus service is sparse!)
