Borrego Valley Inn, hotel in Borrego Springs

Offering 2 outdoor pools and spas, Borrego Valley Inn serves breakfast and afternoon cookies. It offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Free guest parking is available.

We didn’t like much but I would say the room was an OK size (although from the online description I expected a bigger room so perhaps should have checked the dimensions). The inner courtyard was quite pretty and there was parking available.

I was there one day and could have spent 2-3 days, but not much longer. March Equinox time of year. Wildflowers beautiful, weather pleasant. The views of the mountains were gorgeous and the night sky spectacular. The sculptures scattered about are a definite must see. Internet spotty, at least with my carrier.

Borrego Springs is a small town with great night views of the sky and day views of the mountains and desert and, during the season, wild flowers. In season can be very crowded. While there are a number of accommodations, it has avoided the "wall of hotels" that tend to spring up in tourist areas. It's also fairly close to Julian, Lake Cuyamaca and Laguna Mountain, taking well-maintained mountain/country roads. It can get very hot during the day from March through October. The night sky is amazing and you can even see the edge of the Milky Way when it's clear - and it usually is at night.

The resort is a lovely, well constructed and furnished establishment in the peaceful desert community of Borrego Springs. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom well equipped, and the unit quite spacious. The pool and hot tub were very close. The restaurant served a variety of well prepared meals. On weekend nights there is a piano player, a nice touch. The beautiful desert surrounds.

We stayed in Borrego Springs for a weekend, which was a reasonable amount of time, but I could have easily stayed a couple more days. This place is a true gem that you don't want to miss. It's small, quiet, has lots to see, and I love that it never felt crowded. Best places to eat: Red Ocotillo, Carlee's, Big Horn Burgers and Shakes, and The Propeller Bar and Grill (check for pop-up events with live bands and catering). Awesome things to do: Galleta Meadows sculptures (a must), hike The Slot, see wildflowers in the spring, and stargaze on clear nights. Wonderful lady who runs the place.

Wonderful lady who runs the place. She called me up and was able to accommodate my late night arrival. I was staying a few days only for the meteor shower. Was able to continue working remotely. Very fast internet which was a pleasant surprise. I left my charger and phone cables when I checked out, left a message on their answering machine if they found it, and she offered to drop it off at the box office next time they were in town. Awesome service!

This is the perfect place to take a breather, and enjoy the desert community and accept it for all its quirks and foibles. it is the desert, it has its own rugged beauty that one must come to appreciate for all that is presented. take it for what it is, if you have never roughed it, dont come here, if you want a 5 star Ritz Carlton your are not going to find it. there are some amenities that you realize you simply dont need. the bed was awesome nice and firm, i got a nice restful sleep that i have not had in a long time, i slept very well it was so quiet, i could hear the coyotes in the distance, frogs, and roosters in the early morning. reminded me of living on a ranch when i was a kid. I also went out around 330 in the morning to view the night sky, just wonderful. i also found out that Blair valley is the best place to view the milky way, blair valley here i come. the summers are brutal, 120 degrees that is where you need a pool and some shade, the sunsets are to die for, you must see a sunset from the valley floor as the desert light dances on the valley floor. happy trails

We have stayed at the hotel before in 2019 and it was just as good as we remembered it. The location close to Borrego Springs is great. The hotel is very clean and well maintained and the grounds are really nice too. There are two large swimming pools to choose from and a large spa pool too. The Arches restaurant is good too. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially Noe in the Arches who deserved a medal for singlehandedly working the bar and serving meals to our party of 14 bikers !.

This resort surprised us with the excellent rooms, delicious food, as well as friendly and helpful staff. To be honest, we had not really known what to expect but the resort excelled in every way. This was mid August, so the place was fairly empty, but we love the desert heat and Borrego Springs is a fantastic place to get away from it all (and the opposite of places like Palm Springs!). The town/valley is slightly quirky and has an undefinable charm. We certainly hope to come back for longer.

The hotel has decorations so it looks like an old western town. Staff was friendly and helpful. Due to Covid, no daily maid service but housekeeping brought supplies like coffee and towels up on request. We didn’t use the pool due to covid. The on-site restaurant has things like burgers and soft-serve ice cream. But the center of town is a short drive away and has some good food. We enjoyed the Mexican food and western breakfasts in town.

For a Family vacation with 9 people ranging in age from 5 to 78, this property was ideal. Plenty of space, a wonderful front deck to sip coffee and view the mountains in the morning and a great garage with pool table and ping pong table for family competition. The outdoor areas are wonderful. Be aware this is a well lived in house, not a perfect sterile resort setting. We would all chose to stay here again if we come back to Borrego Springs.

This is an extremely comfortable and perfectly located hotel complex, with a great deal of character. The pools are lovely (particularly as it was very quiet during our stay), the restaurant convenient and the food (burgers) good – we were able to sit outside with heaters which we really appreciated. Just on the edge of the park, and also close to restaurants in town.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful! Its location is great and very convenient to go on hikes but also to get the necessities in the town. The pools are very nice and the breakfast is delivered to your room to enjoy in bed. We‘ll definitely come back!

Not much to like—far too basic. I felt the owners ”cheaped out” on everything. This is definitely not a four star hotel—more like two falling stars. This is not a serene location—close to highway with incessant traffic noise during the day

I enjoyed the location of the resort. It’s central to the areas attractions i.e. Anza-Borego State Park, Ocotillo Wells SRVA and the large sculptures the Borrego Springs is known for.
