Watch the weather. Pools close when they hear thunder then don’t open even after it stopped raining. It was to wait one hour past hearing thunder. When after cleared up they were not open even the indoor pool. Hot tub was broken also. I appreciate safety precautions but that’s a lot of money to watch TV in the room.would have cancelled but we would have lost money because you have to have a notice or they charge you. Also already took off work. It’s a beautiful place.

It is a bit of a drive into town, but we knew that going in. Don't come to Lake Barkley State Resort Park for things to do in town without expecting a 20 minute drive into town. There are plenty of things to do at the resort park that you don't need to go into town to find things to do if you enjoy the great outdoors. The views are breathtaking! The sunsets are amazing! The fishing is very good. We brought food with us, so we didn't eat at the restaurant this time, but be sure to ask if there is a mini fridge and microwave in your room. Ours didn't have either. Next time we might go with a cottage instead.

Nice small-town feel with plenty to do in the area! Go antiquing on Main Street where it's lined with pig statues! Visit Land Between the Lakes, or Lake Barley recreation area! Close enough to big cities like Clarksville, Tn or Paducah, KY. If you come the 2nd weekend in October, you'll have a fun time at the annual Trigg County Ham Festival!

couldnt have picked a better hotel/motel. staff available @ odd hrs. house keeper exceptional, Megan, always their & asking what else she could do 4 u or 2 help u. We had a family reunion from several states & everyone of them said the same, especially about Megan. We've decided 2 do this every yr. same place, this hotel 4 sure.

The food in the restaurant was very good, the rooms were cleaned at. The dock was supper nice and the staff was very friendly. Air was out on our first night and no one seemed to really care except the maintenance man, he did all he could do and was very kind.

Saw previous reviews and decided to book. Property is nothing very appealing, however the room was extremely clean, we had a very comfortable bed, and it was quiet. The breakfast was just okay.
